Re: Kirk Cousins 365 thread
I agree, Redskins have more leverage than it seems. I would not rule out the possibility of tagging him at 34M. They may save themselves enough cap space to be capable of it.

I think they need to trade him now. There are plenty of teams that need a QB and apparently not many good ones in the draft. |

Re: Kirk Cousins 365 thread
I agree. Even if he plays on the tag this year, do the transition tag next year for 2 1sts.
If a team loses their QB mid season - is a trade of KC possible mid-season? I'd assume he'd have to say okay to work out a LTD with the suitor. Would they have to pay a prorated portion of the franchise tag #? Would we eat all of his salary that year?

Re: Kirk Cousins 365 thread
When you see multiple sources coming out saying "Kirk wants out", it isn't just bull shit. You can fight it all u want, Kirk will not be a Redskin much longer. I have already excepted it and want the 2nd pick already.

Re: Kirk Cousins 365 thread
Ok. So has Kiem or any of our local reporters backed up Wyche's claim? Are the sources people who actually in on these conversations? Is it the chef or waiters at Redskins Park hearing 25% of a conversation?
The fact we want to build the defense and use our oline as a force that it can be in the running game is not news if Cousins signs here or is traded. You know what guys, fuck it we drafted the next Tom Brady last year in 6th round pick Nate Sudfield. Who knows we may be on the cusp of 7 Super Bowl appearances and 4 new shiny lombardies?😂🙌

Re: Kirk Cousins 365 thread
SF has had top 3 picks the last couple of years right near Cleveland. We have picked 17/22.
So anyway Jac CLE east then we are. So CLE west is his choice. Good luck

Re: Kirk Cousins 365 thread
This is pretty damning. Mort is an extremely credible source.

Re: Kirk Cousins 365 thread
My question with Cousins is this, does Gruden want Cousins as his QB for the future? Can we answer that?

But ultimately irrelevant. I think it's clear that if Cousins is asking the owner for a trade, and I fully believe Mort, then it doesn't matter how much Jay wants him or how much we offer in a long term deal. Because Cousins won't sign it. Coming to terms with the notion that trading him is the only option. I'm fearful Snyder won't do it, out of spite to Kyle, and Kirk will walk next year or the year after, for nothing but a compensatory 3rd rounder.
