This seems to be a bigger problem in society today, but it seems like people only want to talk in absolutes. Fauci takes a lot of criticism for how he has handled the pandemic but rarely in science is anything absolute, so I don't blame him for modifying his stance as we learn more about COVID.

Like everything else these days even science isn't immune from being politicized. There used to be a day when science was trusted, but now with anti-vaccers, covid-deniers and everything in between nothing is immune from public criticism anymore.

Fauci has been a trusted advisor for the gov't for around 40 years so he must be doing something right. It's only since Trump targeted him to blame has his credibility been questioned. I blame Trump for that.

Great points, also the science research progress takes years and the people wants to get updates on daily basis. Fauci is in impossible position.

Im not really sure what we are judging him on? He is telling us what science and doctors tell him and giving his educated opinions on what he thinks. This isn’t exactly something that happens every day. Or should i say every lifetime. Some people just melt and complain and play the blame game during a catastrophe. Those are the people you DO NOT want to hear from. Like Chicos boy Tucker or Trump. Just blame everyone that you can and pretend it either doesn’t exist or will magically disappear.

A nearly 80% drop in the daily rate over a two-month period looks pretty frickin’ dramatic to me, but YMMV, I guess. The peak came on January 12; by March 12, the daily case rate had dropped to 53,000-plus, a decline of 78.3%. That correlates entirely with the vaccine rollout, obviously.

------

This article really lays it out. As soon as Presdent Biden and VP Harris got sworn in, things finally started to get better.

Thank you President Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris for providing strong leadership and clear direction from the top. The vaccine roll out has been nothing but awesome.

With Biden/Harris .. we are finally winning again!

Trump says every American can get a coronavirus vaccine by April, but health experts say that's not likely

Trump Now Claims 'Every American' Will Have Coronavirus Vaccine By April

https://www.politico.com/news/2020/0...e-april-417835

Trump says U.S. will have vaccine doses for all Americans in April

Winning was already taking place my friend.

Look above ^It was always the plan...Biden administration has done a good job to continue roll out the vaccine. but Trump administration plan had the same forecast as supplies of the vaccine increased.

A hiccup with the j&j pause and poor cdc messaging multiple times, but you can’t expect perfection.

Re: Coronavirus (political)

Being handed the vaccine with avg of 950k shots in arm per day when he took the office completely dismantles any talking point there was no plan, worst plan, etc

Operation warp speed was a complete success and crushed the so called experts that said a vaccine couldnt be completed by 2020 years end time. Which the receipts are a long list.

Biden did a great job of distribution and getting shots in arms. A big W for him...but Trump gets credit for that as well.

Trump gets credit for hundreds of thousands of Americans losing their lives.

2 impeachments, an insurrection, and a totally botched pandemic response. What a fucking legacy.

I'm happy to give him credit for both if it will shut Chico up about making sure his legacy survives.

Congrats Chico, it only took a year for Trump to get the vaccine rollout going. He also did all that other shit Matty said too, which to me matters more.

So let's give chico a cookie and give captain orangutan credit for the no brainer of a decision to allow vaccines to be fast tracked... personally I'd rather tip my hat to the R&D teams of the vaccine manufacturers. They're the true heroes here.

Bigly took the L, as in one term president. As in he lost to Biden. There's only one winner in the big leagues. Nobody cares about participation trophies with the big boys. Hell even Twitter handed him a big fat L.
