Does he need contacts?? Seriously!

On the replay the ball hit his wrist!! It didn't even hit his hands??

So yes... we got lucky on the two plays at the end of the halves... but a cornerback has to catch that INT and the game is over.
dude was laid out in the air.. could've lost it in the lights

if he misses on jumping the route then we have more of an issue

sucks that we allowed 2 open passes into the end zone, but Barron had been holding blatantly the whole night

Oh most definitely. I think DMc will def improve as he gets more reps with the WRs. Although, I'd like to see another WR step up. Armstrong could still be it...I just don't think he was the best choice for for those back-to-back play. I hope DT has played his way into the lineup with those good returns.

I think the offensive line problem is well on its way of being fixed. The big problem that is going to take a season or two more is the WR problem we have. DT did well on returns, but we simply don't have anyone that can catch the ball other than Moss and Cooley. What happened with Seller's hands? Armstrong sucked tonight. We also need to start thinking about really replacing CP in a couple years.

basically extended time was causing Brown to strain his hip in the pre-season, etc...

Shanahan also said that Lichtensteiger and Dock was a close competition in preseason, not sure what he saw that I missed, but he was there more..

Have you been watching any Redskins games for the past 5 years? If you have you've seen him drop MULTIPLE INTS.

My point wasn't to say Rogers sucks... point was it wasn't all luck... we should have won it long before the hold.

Why don't we turn Davis into a possession receiver? I know he's not a deep threat, but he could be that move the chains guy.

Yeah CP is not the same, he had some good runs...but we gotta think about the future as well. I mean I hope Williams breaks out, but right now we don't have a back of the future.

Not so sure about the "lucky" part at the end of the game. No question that Romo would have been smeared by Orakpo had he not been held...

Both Rogers and Landry could have ended the game. It's more on Rogers, 'cause he was going up for that ball. Landry was caught of guard, but Romo threw the ball right to his hands.

Rogers officially has the worst hands in NFL history. That ball was gift wrapped and you could see him close his hands before it even hit him. Dude just can't catch for shit.

Re: Week 1: Redskins vs. Cowboys, Game-Day Thread

There is no such thing as the "back of the future" anymore guys.. Backs dont last long, and it's all about NOW...

At ebst a good back lasts 5 years no adays, and Portis is the best back we have, and he's good one.. Anyone could see tonight that Dallas was crushing us up front when it came to the run game, most of our runs they had a blitz called, and Portis had NO room to run...

Re: Week 1: Redskins vs. Cowboys, Game-Day Thread

I have new found respect for Miles Austin. I knew he was good but part of me wondered if he was a one year wonder. He proved tonight that he deserves to be considered as a top 5 receiver, all he has to do now is keep it up, though I obviously hope he slows down.

Rogers, definitely. Landry, not really. He was going the opposite way when that ball came to him. I know the saying is if it hits you, then you should catch it, but it would have been remarkable had he made that play.

One encouraging sign...

Anybody wanna talk about that kick by Gano?? Holy crap that was dead center and into the NET from 49 yards... We might not have a punter STILL... but hopefully maybe a kicker... fingers crossed & knocking on wood!

Haslett needs to spray some stick 'em on this guy's hand. Yeah, you couldn't have asked for a better throw by Romo.
