Re: Ryan Clark
This came from disgruntled Rams fans on the local sports talk radio show in my area, but ... they said that Archuleta is such weight lifting fanatic that he pulled a disc in his back a season or two ago, and hasn't been the same since.
But then, isn't that a common tactic among fans in the NFL who lose some of their favorite players to another team? Take it for what it's worth. I still like the signing. It's better to have him than no Ryan Clark and no Sean Taylor in case he's watching Redskin games in an orange jumpsuit. |

Re: Ryan Clark
i was wondering if the weight lifting/overtraining he does would cause him more injuries than anything that happened on the field... his contract is set up as that of an injury prone player, so its worth noting if nothing else.

Re: Ryan Clark
Arch is a goat IMHO. While he's missed tackles, hasn't made any big plays, isn't a great safety, and Ryan Clark was good, it's not as though Ryan Clark was Ed Reed.

Re: Ryan Clark
No he wasn't, but he played across from Ed Reed. They helped each other be as good as they were. Look at it, Polamalu and Hope were great...why? Cause one was selfish and the other wasn't. You can't have this many captains and expecto to win. You need role players too. Guys who are in the right place, not trying to make every play.

Re: Ryan Clark
It couldn't possibly be that the goats have some blame. We payed big money for Phil Collins here, and hes done nothing.

Re: Ryan Clark
well, every chain has a weak link. or in the case of our defense, more than one.

Re: Ryan Clark
True, because the pass rush has been non-existant so the secondary is going to suffer because of it.

Re: Ryan Clark
The guy isn't great and he deserves criticism, but people wouldn't be bashing him so much if the defense as a whole was playing better. The defensive woes can't be laid at the feet of just Arch and Carter; the problems seem to run a lot deeper.

Re: Ryan Clark
There are a lot of guys that are underperforming this year. It doesn't all boil down to Brunell and Archuleta. You win as a team and lose as one. I really wish that replacing either or both of these guys was the easy answer.

Re: Ryan Clark
honstely, carter has been alright. i think we all expected like 10 sacks out of him so far. hes been around the QB a LOT and still has like 2.5.

Re: Ryan Clark
The players need to have a meeting and get this shit behind them. The season begins "anew" Sunday versus the Colts! They need to get their well paid asses in gear and play some REDSKIN FOOTBALL! Man up for CHRIST'S Sake! HAIL from MCUSA!

Re: Ryan Clark
You do not judge a DE by sacks alone. Stopping the run is just as important as sacks, but stopping the run does not get all the headlines like sacks. Carter has been terrible against the run.

Re: Ryan Clark
Honetsly Carter might just be a little too light in the ass to be effective against the run. What's he weigh anyway, about 265? HAIL from MCUSA!
