My reason that they won't win it all is PHILIP RIVERS, we will see if he can mount a last minutes comeback drive when the time comes

Czabe's article is a little negative for me but i kindof understand a little where he's coming from. It's called venting for another bad-mediocre season. This makes about 12 or so bad-mediocre seasons out of 14. While I don't agree w/ alot in there I do "feel his pain."

I'm a Gibbs guy. I watched Gibbs 1 and the thing that I remember is killing teams. Scoring points. Throwing downfield w/ a tremendous running game. I don't remember us just trying to stay in games. When Jay Schroeder came in, guess what we did, go deep. So i do agree that Gibbs is alot more conservative than i remember. So yea, Gibbs seems a little scared at times and quite honest not done such a good job at managing the game clock too.

I'm trying to keep the faith but sometimes you gotta vent.

Nah, it's Marty! Rivers will be the goat, but it will be Marty.

Back then, while throwing deep, we controlled the clock. Gibbs is obsessed with Time of Possession. While it generally helps to win a game, we have proven that it doesn't even come close to guarenteeing a win.

I'll bet San Diego fans in the 1980s were bitching and moaning that the Chargers let go of their hotshot young offensive coordinator
Yea, you're right, i couldn't remember which year Lewis left.

Promoted him when? In case you've forgotten, between the 2001 and 2002 season the Tampa Bay Bucs offered Steve Spurrier the head coaching job. He took our job when we gave him more money. They went after and offered the job to Marvin Lewis, but the owners and the general manager disagreed on whether another defensive minded coach after Dungy was right, so he was out too. So then the Redskins scooped him up. Lewis had a solid year with us and got his well deserved opportunity to be a head coach.

I agree, Czab's take is a bit negative but like you said 12 duds out of 14 does not give a skins fan much to be positive about and Czab is a skins fan.

Again I think skins fans have become used to losing now and when someone points out how far they have fallen and does it with some passion then it's perceived as too negative because they have become used to thinking next year will be better.

It WILL be.
We are a collective group of Skins lovers. We do not care if we go winless, we will still be there in our burgandy and gold to support our team, and we wear our jersey's out in public getting ridacule during the week. If we do not think positive of our Skins chances, then who will.
I don't know about you guys, but every year I will feel we have a good shot.

What?
Why? Cause I wear my Skins jerseys out in public? I'm 31 years old and have been married almost 10 years. There is not a single soul that knows me that doesn't realize that I am a skins fan. Maybe I am a bit fanatical, but so what? We are on a REDSKINS WEBSITE, TALKING REDSKINS. If wearing a jersey is fanatical or childish, then so is being on this website. There is nothing wrong with being a fan.

Deep down, I bet we all feel that way...including you. Even being as knowledgable as we are, we are consummate fans.
