Re: Congrats to our fellow NFC East team- The Giants
How can any of us root for the Giants? Teams that lose in the Superbowl are historically crappy the following year. We face them twice a year, and I would rather have them decline next year than come into the season brimming with confidence having ended the Pats win streak.
And as for the beating the Pats put to us, sure it was classless and pissed me off at the time. On the other hand, I would like to see the Redskins squeeze the crap out of an opponent like the Pats have done repeatedly this season, and you have to admire the efficiency with which they do it. |

Re: Congrats to our fellow NFC East team- The Giants
The thing is that I hate the Giants and I don't want to see them win for a few reasons: they are an NFC east team, a SB win will solidify Eli as a QB and unite their house, that will put them at 3 Lombardi trophies (tied with the skins) and for selfish/petty reasons I don't want to see that happen, and finally cuz i have friends who are Giants fans who will be intolerable in the event that they win.
But I gotta say my momentary hatred of the Pats prevents me from rooting for them either. They are the new evil empire and it really really eats at me that Belichek and that ass clown Tom Brady are gonna get football's top, most desirable record, the perfect season. They will be solidified in history as the best team and I really don't want to see that happen, cuz I can't shake the feeling that they just don't deserve it. I think i might just go on a self-destructive binge-drinking bender so that come game time I will be incoherent and oblivious to reality, thus preventing me from supporting one team over another.

Credit where credit is due.
In Week 3 the Packers went into the Meadowlands and destroyed the G-Men. Then the G-Men go to Lambeau and beat the Pack on thier home turf in the playoffs. The Cowboys swept the regular season, and the Giants on the road again come into Texas Stadium and beat their division rival when it counted most....the post season. All credit goes to the players of the Giants. They certainly took the tough road to Phoenix, all road games, but they earned that right to represent the NFC. Congrats. Now if there was only a way where BOTH teams lose, I would sleep better. |

Even being a diehard Skins fan, I applaude you Giantone. My bro is a die hard Giants fan and i grew up with many fist fights on sundays especially the game that was a tie back in the 90's. Best of luck against the Best team ever. You guys played them well for 3 quarters. Just play them for 4 and there may be a chance. Good luck.
