Re: Dream Draft Pick of the 2010 Draft
I don't see any of these high profile college guys being good NFL QBs....especially not Teabow.
JC has more upside than those donks...and has already proven he can play respectably at the NFL level. Drafting a QB in the first round would be a huge mistake. |

Something for me about Tebow says that although he is not the most orthidox of QB's his intangibles will make him a asset to his NFL team.

If he's still available when we pick, I don't see how we could pass on him. Thus far, he looks to be the best player available in the entire draft. I don't know too much about the OL prospects entering the draft, but i'd be hardpressed to select anyone over Suh. The very thought of seeing him line up next to Haynesworth (with some combination of Orakpo, Jarmon, Carter, and Jackson on the outside) gives me goosebumps. Campbell can start for us another year. We can use our high 2nd round pick on a starting OT. Levi Jones has been playing well, Heyer is serviceable on the right side and my gut tells me Samuels returns. Mike Williams is doing nicely at guard. Dock and Rabach are solid, if not spectacular. Right now, my dream draft for the first 5 rounds would be: 1. Suh 2. Best OT available. 3. (Traded pick for Jarmon) 4. RB 5. Best C/G available

Definitely agree that we shouldn't pick up a QB and I highly doubt Tebow will be even average in this league. Don't agree with the Suh pick though, I say we trade it away and get at least 2-3 Offensive linemen...I don't know about you but I don't think Samuels has what it takes anymore

I wouldn't count on Samuels coming back, but if he did, id plug him in at RT, relegate Heyer to a backup, start Levi Jones at LT, and draft his replacement in the 2nd round. If we're picking in the top 5-8 and there's not a complete stud of a player that falls to us (like orakpo this year), then i agree we should try like hell to trade down. with so many juniors expected to declare for the draft in 2010, this draft should be especially deep at pretty much every position. if theres no stud, "can't miss" prospects, i'd absolutely love to trade down out of the 1st round entirely, and pick up as many 2nd rounders as we can.

we could however trade down our second pick for a later second and a 5th which would be nice since we don't have a third

Re: Dream Draft Pick of the 2010 Draft
SEC RB 1st round and second round OT. I like our guards situation. You have to let an O-line play together for a few weeks before they look like they can block. This is not a plug n play microsoft league. 4th round CB or LB. Competition is good. 7th round pick kicker. 5th and 6th round best player available.

Re: Dream Draft Pick of the 2010 Draft
Well dream pick would have to be eric berry or taylor mays.
Or eric berry cause he seems to be a ball hawk, whereas taylor mays has the raw potential in a sean taylor body RIP. |

I like Berry as well...reminded me of old #21 the first time I saw him play....I still think Suh would make more of an impact.

Re: Dream Draft Pick of the 2010 Draft
that would be beyond " stupid" if the skins would draft another d- lineman

Re: Dream Draft Pick of the 2010 Draft
only way we take him is if he falls to 8 or beyond, doubt he will be there we go oline, he is top three, might fall to 5

Re: Dream Draft Pick of the 2010 Draft
if okung and bulega are gone by our pick we should try and trade down, gonna be hard to get rid of a top ten pick this year though
ss aren't you an iowa guy bulega is most likely the guy to be there i think okung is top five, what do you think of him? i haven't seen much of iowa this year

Re: Dream Draft Pick of the 2010 Draft
I don't see Bulaga as a top 10 pick. Still kind of raw, probably better suited for RT than LT in the NFL. Better run blocker than pass blocker. Relies on strength much more than any sort of skills or technique. There's also Kyle Calloway out of Iowa who might be more polished but also may be about as good as he's going to get. He also has a drunk driving mark against him. Probably 2nd-4th rounder. He's a RT too.

Re: Dream Draft Pick of the 2010 Draft
Looking at video's of Suh and Eric Berry. I have to say the thought of a player like Suh beside Haynesworth and infront of Orakpo isn't fair. Or Berry at FS moving Landry to SS, that would put fear into NFL teams hearts like ST and LL was supposed too.

Re: Dream Draft Pick of the 2010 Draft
I understand, it's because he could be the second comming of Reggie White. Adding that type of talent to a top tiered defense is scary
