Re: college football 2009 thread
Over and done with. Somewhere, Miami Dolphin fans are cursing quietly at Saban's success. LOL.

Re: college football 2009 thread
i thought that was pretty tasteless that bama didnt kneel out the game, but kept running the ball at the end. but whatever. unfortunate that we didnt get to see texas at their best tonight.

Re: college football 2009 thread
I was hoping if we DID get a QB, it would be him instead of Bradford or Tebow...but now, who knows about his arm. It seemed serious. Anyone hear the exact injury he suffered?
Wow, rough article about Colt, especially when he was trying to throw the ball on the sidelines. Agonizing night for Texas QBs - College Football - Rivals.com I thought Texas would win going into the game, but for a freshman QB to come into that game under those circumstances...an almost impossible task. Gilbert has potential though.

Re: college football 2009 thread
Hearing Colt's postgame interview on the field with Lisa Salters when he was on the verge of tears talking about how much he loves the game and how he would have given anything to be out there... ugh. Just gut wrenching. Poor kid.

Re: college football 2009 thread
i really wish the mountain west would invite boise st and 2 more teams and have a championship game. that would make them a legit bcs conference, and imo they need to be involved in an auto bid to the bcs.

Re: college football 2009 thread
Lane Kiffin is such a little weasel. How does this guy get jobs? Hilarious take from Pat Forde:
At this rate, Lane Kiffin is an 8-5 season at USC away from a $50 million contract to coach Peyton Manning and the Colts. Seriously, why not? Why wouldn't he just keep rising up the coaching ranks on the basis of nothing much at all? If a 31-year-old with no head-coaching experience can get the Oakland Raiders job, and a guy who got fired from that job after losing 15 of 20 games can get the Tennessee job, and a guy who went 7-6 in a reckless first season in Knoxville can get the USC job … is there any rung of the sport to which Kiffin cannot climb? I mean, what if he actually does something impressive as a coach? Win a conference title and they might just fast-track him into the Hall of Fame. Paris Hilton has paid more dues than Lane Kiffin. LOL!!! Full article here: Lane Kiffin leaves Tennessee Volunteers for USC Trojans - ESPN

Re: college football 2009 thread
Maybe Al Davis wasn't so crazy for ripping him?

Re: college football 2009 thread
Well, that became apparent shortly after he landed the Tennessee job and quickly racked up half a dozen recruiting violations and a public reprimand by Mike Slive (SEC Commish). Lane Kiffin is a shitshow. I almost wish he had stayed at Tennessee so I could watch him burn my most hated rival to the ground.
