You are right, JC is what ranked 15 or something in passing and a lot of teams have shitty QBs like Cleveland or Oakland. JC might be a good backup for other teams or "insurance" for others still. Either way you need a QB, maybe even two if Collins bolts.
I agree that we need depth, which is why we can't afford to lose Campbell. Imagine Campbell gone, Collins retires and we have a rookie QB. We would need to spend a draft pick and maybe obtain a QB through FA and waste a lot of resources on a position that wasn't our Achilles Heal this past season.

Why risk taking Bradford who has had his shoulder messed up twice in the same season? If he takes a hit and his shoulder pops again you just wasted another #1 draft pick on a kid that will never produce for you. Too much QB talent available in 2010 just to go for the overhyped Big 4 trap.

Not sure Brees had them before the draft. He had them before free agency

Thats it, alright my bad. Still the point is the same, guy with a questionable shoulder has turned into possibly the best QB in the league.

The whole allure to Bradford for me was that, hey, if we're picking between 7 and 12 in the draft, and Clausen is the first QB off the board, we might be able to land Bradford because of an injury, where the injury might be causing him to be undervalued. We could keep Campbell for a year, and turn the keys over to Bradford in 2011.

If we're picking in the top five (and only if we win can this not be the case, and we can only win if the Chargers rest their starters...and even then), whoever you would take at QB is going to play right away. And frankly, I don't think anyone wants to have anyone in this draft class at the top of their depth chart come August.

Or.... get this..... or.... give the keys to Colt. Boom. LOL. Then hand the keys over to Bradford.

Any chance at all Chase will be available again?

Re: Sam Bradford remains projected pick to Redskins

Allen may be surprised how much better JC plays with an improved o-line. I know we can pick-up some FA's, but who's out there?, we are NOT one good lineman away from having a good o-line. We have 1 pick in the 2nd and no 3rd pick. So do we draft one in the 2nd and wait and get some more in the 4th if we use our 1rst for a QB? We can draft a QB in 2011, if there is no draft, Snyder can damn sure afford to outbid for one coming out. If John Elway or Peyton Manning were coming out it would be one thing, but I don't think anyone is comparing Clausen or Bradford to those 2. Don't forget, Locker comes out next year and I'm sure there will be others to get excited about. It was Sanchez last year. Let's face it, this line could use more than a 2nd and a 4th pick.

Sam Bradford leading pick for Redskins | DC Pro Sports Report

Mock Drafts munched between 1-4 and 1/5, 29 of them, still project Bradford to the Redskins.

Incidentally Bradford is reportedly close to signing with Bus Cook (if he hasn't already). Cook is Cutler's agent as well so he already has a history with Shanahan.

Where do all these rumors come from? How does anyone know that we even want Bradford? We're going to have new coaches, new people in the FO....to me this is all a bunch of BS. On top of that Bradford is going to get hit once upside the head by Trent Cole and DeMarcus Ware and he'll be hurt. I like the kid but I question his ability to stay healthy.

Most if not all trainers and doctors who have studied him and his injury say that he should be fine. Though he may want to bulk up a bit.

I'm not even remotely as concerned about his shoulder as most everyone else seems to be

The Redskins team doctor performed the surgery on him, so we should know better than anyone how his shoulder should hold up.

Re: Sam Bradford remains projected pick to Redskins

I read up on Bradford's injury to the AC joint. Mild cases of such injury require rest only. Serious cases, like Bradford's, require surgery and a long recovery. However, according to several medical Web sites, once that injury heals, there is no long term damage or propensity for re-injury. Summary: Bradford should be fine.
