Load up on good food and alcohol, rent a few movies, and you're ready to weather a big storm.

Re: Let It Snow

This is as bad a storm as I've ever seen in this area. Wow. Winds are really gusting and visibility is nada. I was out a few hours ago with my buddy in his big ass Chevy Tahoe. It's bad out there. Really bad.

There was a VW bug flipped over on it's nose on the side of the road right near my place. It had just happened. We stopped to help. There was already another truck there helping the dude. He was pretty shaken, but wearing his seat belt so he was ok. I felt like asking him WTF he's doing riding around in that thing in this weather, but I refrained.

Anyway, home now, scotch in hand and HD TV. Time to riiiide it out.

I have already shoveled twice, and finish a touch of alcohol. I may be moving to the drunk thread or the movie thread soon, rented district 9(haven't seen) and star trek (seen several times) so if i don't pass out, I will be watching those till I feel the need to shovel again. Onward Ho!

Re: Let It Snow

I went to the Giant here in Frederick last night, and was able to get just about everything on the list we needed. Granted, the meats and breads were seriously lacking, but everything else (milk included) was in decent supply. Before that I hit the beer store for some Full Moon, Yuengling Bock, and some Bud Light, so I'm ready for some serious snow.

Re: Let It Snow

Man! The new snow is covering the old snow that hasn't melted. The old snow had melted into a sheet of ice. This new snow is wet, nasty snow. This is a fucking mess. We're getting more snow tomorrow and more snow on Tuesday and Wednesday. Someone needs to chain up all Al Gore and bring out the gimp. I'm tired of his global warming. If this is global warming, I'd hate to see global cooling!

Well if you saw my response to Lotus who said they got 4 inches of rain from the system if you get hit with that each inch of rain = 10 inches of snow. Thats would be around 40" of snow.
