....and look how well that turned out.

Turned out a lot better than when Spurrier threw Patrick Ramsey to the dogs now didn't it? JC isn't a bad QB, maybe not the guy to get us to the SB, but he is more than serviceable.

You are right about the bottom line.

Re: Rumor: Eagles and Rams Finalizing Trade Involving McNabb

Why does it throw a wrench in our draft? We now have the option of Bradford/Clausen, or the best OT available. Detroit seems to be targeting Suh or the next best DT, while the Rams may or may not pick a QB now if there indeed is a trade. Whatever plan Mr. Allen and Coach have for opening day of the draft, it is not that all affected by this trade. The only thing it might mean is that we don't get Okung if OT is going to be our first pick. If he is gone, we can get the kid from USC or even Bruce Campbell. I am sure the FO has a gameplan based on the different scenarios. Bottom line is we don't lose either way.

Does no one see the USA Today article that says this is a lie?

I don't think there's any offer on the table, but there's definitely interest. I think the 49ers will get back in the fray soon though.

id give up our 1st rounder for Kolb and the eagles 3rd rounder in a heartbeat. hes the real deal. i am more worried about the eagles with kolb under center than mcnabb to be honest

Some one on here said that we'd be lucky to get a third rounder for Campbell, well that would have been true before Charlie Whitehurst got traded to seattle, but after that ridiculous trade for a guy whose never thrown a NFL pass, Jason is probably worth a second rounder now. And if this Mcnabb trade goes through, then expect us to get Bradford and expect Jason to be traded on the same day.

Seahawks got off easy, in fact we I think of the maneuvering the Seahawks went with to get him I'm reminded of the Staples guy. Campbell is only worthy to carry the helmet of Whitehurst. You guys will rue the day Whitehurst was traded to the NFC. Come my children and join the Knights of Whitehurst.

Perfect Post for #5,000. Man who would have thought I would have ever lasted after my Andre Carter thread back in 2006.

I doubt that, there's still excitement behind Whitehurst for whatever reason. There's no reason to be "excited" about Campbell. He's probably worth a mid-4th or later by now.
