You've got some nerve trying to derail this thread back to its original topic!

Haven't heard anything

We've added a running back to the practice squad

Javarris James, Miami (Fla.), NFL Draft - CBSSports.com - NFLDraftScout.com

Was with New England

F' the Colts. It's like they have a James addiction.

That guy needs to go into the Ring of Honor for his many contributions to our team.

Williams was going to return regardless of CP's status...like Banks, I think he was just a weekly roster shuffle, not a permanent cut, so I wouldn't read into CP's season status too much with a practice squad signing...James is just replacing Keiland's PS RB spot.

Portis 4-6 confirmed.

Twitter / Ryan O'Halloran: Portis out 4-6 weeks says ...

Shame, he was running VERY well...looked rejuvenated.

Who did they cut to make room for Williams in the roster? Will they IR Portis?

Very possible. Ryan Grant was IR'ed even though he could have come back midseason or something.

Grant tore an ankle ligament, an injury with a 10-12 week healing process.

Portis has a 4-6 week injury at this point. If he had not been performing well prior to the injury, there could be a reason to IR him, but if we can get 8 games out of him and or even bring him back for a playoff push, we should.

Media is saying right now that the skins aren't being honest to the extent of Portis' injury.

2 Sources, ESPN, and PFT are saying that Portis is likely out for the year.

You'd have to think so, being that they brought back 1 RB and signed another one. I think Portis is going to miss serious time either way.

If he is done for the year, he's most likely done as a Redskin...Solid I know your secretly happy.

I let it go with Portis this season, mostly because he seemed like he was a changed person in regards to committment and practice habits.

I wont let my feelings about him cloud the fact that for a time, he was a major contributor to our offense, and also for a time, he was one of our marquee players.

But that time is past, he knows it (Portis) and we know it. Its a shame that his attitude problems and other indiscretions make me (and many other fans, im sure) overlook Portis' contributions to the team and instead remember him because of the negative and controversial things.

I guess Riggo's record is safe. For Now.
