Matty I know I'm picking on his game a little too much, but I just want to see him stop disappearing from games is all. He's still a damn good pass rusher, I just want to see his name start getting more recognition from around the league.

Re: Scud's Studs Week 1 (Giants at Redskins)
I picked Moss.
It was a tie between him and Grossman for me. Davis was another close pick. However in the end although I was extremely happy Davis stepped up his game, I figured this is what he was supposed to be all along. Which is why we drafted him in the 2nd round. I'm still bewildered as to why he was left uncovered so many times. It's like the defense didn't have a plan for him or figured he wouldn't do much because he hasn't in the past. As for Orakpo being quiet, I'm of the belief he was being held more often then not. Why the refs wouldn't call it I don't know. Grossman could have gotten my pick but I just had a feeling he would have a good game. Just like I figured the team would win the first game. What really stood out to me was Moss, and believe me I've been a critic of him lately. He stepped up when no other WR was stepping up. He made a play everytime when one was needed and others were not getting the job done. So my pick went to him this week. As for Flether and Kerrigan, I felt they were doing their jobs. I know the pick and TD by Kerrigan was nice, but lets see another one this week and I'll give him my pick for week 2. |

Re: Scud's Studs Week 1 (Giants at Redskins)
After watching Aaron Hernandez last night, I don't see any reason why Fred Davis can't contribute to that effect week in and week out. Sure Grossman is no Brady, but like Hernandez, Davis is a matchup nightmare. Too fast for LBs to cover, too big for DBs to cover.

Re: Scud's Studs Week 1 (Giants at Redskins)
As athletic as Davis is, Hernandez actually looks and runs like a wr. That guy might be the fastest TE in the NFL. I want to see more of Davis though. No disrespect to Cooley but he's just not the red zone threat that Davis can be. I think it's his time now.

As a fisherman, I would never really use the word "billfish." I would be more specific....(blue, black, white) marlin, sailfish, swordfish, etc.
Billfish? That's like an ichthyologist term. Quote:

Re: Scud's Studs Week 1 (Giants at Redskins)
New consulting group hired by Goodell:
This was prompted when a locker room interview with Cedric Benson where this was seen in the background, affixed to his locker: Statement by Commissioner Goodell - "Billfishing is a troubling off-field activity that puts a stain on the entire league's image. I was willing to let it stay under the radar that some of our players are involved in this against my advice, but on Sunday when billfishing found its way onto the field for the entire world to see, then Mr. Benson's deliberate message when the cameras were on him...I must take swift and severe action to put a stop to this for the safety of our players and the product image of the NFL."

Re: Scud's Studs Week 1 (Giants at Redskins)
I think this lockout has kept us stuck in offseason mode a week into the season.
