Felt like I had to share this, as this blog post on the DC Sports Bog cheered me up. It's a nice compilation of all the quotes about all the love Tony Romo is getting right now, mostly actual love from ESPN and people mocking the MNF crew on Twitter.

What? People overreacting? NEVER :-) It was one game, granted it sucks because it is the Cowpukes but it is one game. We learn from it and move on. One thing that is very different about this team than teams the last three to four years is they really have a confidence that they can win. We are headed in the right direction, there will be some bumps along the way but that is part of the game.

Look Deangelo Hall, It is a big game, it was a horrible play and we've should have won. It's pretty much the end of the world for me. Great, now you'r talking shit about the rams? We couldn't beat them the last time we played them...

Big picture guys. In the big picture, we're 2-1, with 13 games left and a not-so-tough schedule. We're definitely not done yet.

Monday Night Countdown - What a total disgrace, deserves it's own smackdown post. The show is 90 minutes. Here's the breakdown:

- Highlights and general football talk - 15 minutes

- Homo lovefest - 40 minutes. Did you guys know he was playing with bad ribs?? Oh wait let's hear more about his ribs, but this time let's do it via bus interview!

- Vick - 20 minutes - never have I seen such concern for a BRUISED NON-THROWING hand for christ sake. But in-studio analysis is not enough, now let's cut to the field and see what Dilfer and Young think about Vick's hand!

- Peyton's injury - 10 minutes - Really??????? Peyton's out 'til 2012 - WE GET IT!!

- Redskins 'analysis' - 5 minutes - I put analysis in quotes because this was really just a 5-minute Rex bashing session. They all went around the circle cursing him and laughing at him, calling him a prius... quality stuff guys.

One of the benefits of playing on MNF is that all the pre-game BS hype is about YOUR team. ESPN has the rest of the week to discuss these stupid stories ad nauseum. Can't I see some Skins stuff? Give me a Shanny interview or maybe a Kerrigan. I'd even take a Hall interview where he shoots his big mouth off. Give me something!!

ESPN should be ashamed, pure fckn garbage. Time to get you outta there Smoot. Time to launch SSPN.

After the night to sleep it off... If this was not the Cowboys on National TV, I wouldn't be/have been half as mad as I am.

We're not going to win them all. Rex has to protect the ball better, though. I know that's his MO, and it comes with the territory, but this is three weeks in a row that the game could have swung on one of his turnovers (and last night it did). That has to get better. I'm certainly not pinning the whole game on him, but this is why he has not had the real chances in the NFL.

Overall, through 3 weeks, I think if you asked everyone on the board if they'd take 2-1, they'd have taken it an run. I still feel good about where we're at.. we've outplayed the Giants, and I think we played better than Dallas last night (albeit beat up)...

Win or lose last night, we'll know if these are different Redskins next week. The Rams stink. They're not good, and if we want to be thought of as a good football team, we'll roll in there and take care of business and go into the bye and get ready for Philadelphia.... I wish I was confident this would happen, but I'm more hopeful than confident.

Hall... did he play all that poorly, no... but I don't think he played well, and when you open your mouth all week, I'm gonna judge you way harder than I do anyone else... and your BS during the post game does not help my opinion of you either. And good god, our field goal unit... like I dont know who I want to blame. Against the Giants its Gano, against Arizona its the line, against Dallas its the holder... the truth is, if that field goal last night does not get blocked, we probably win. Thats a huge 6 point swing. I know that we're not going to hit every attempt we take... but my god these ones which are 40 yards and in, cannot keep ending like this. Its a mess. I'll blame Danny Smith I guess, but this is football 101. Get that together.

After a nights sleep, I still don't know what to think about this game. The cowboys had way over 5 "fumbles" (if you count the bad snaps). Only one went to the redskins. The skins couldn't get anything going offensively, but they did put points on the board and the game's only touchdown. The 3rd and 22 play was unfortunate, but they did an all out bitz and didn't get any pressure: that's going to leave someone open. Defense did well otherwise. The one poor special teams play a game reared its head again, but then Gano hit FGs from all over the place -- even a 50 yarder. I would have felt comfortable getting him in position to win the game.

I'm not going to have a knee jerk reaction (the only one that I did was deleting every facebook friend who was a cowboy) about how this team will do this season. Ugly game, cowboys found a way to win. Redskins didn't capitalize on mistakes. Still plenty of football left.

Next week is a poor Rams team. I think that is more of a test for the 'Skins then tonight was. If they dominate, don't let it be a last second ordeal, I think it bodes well that they can officially take care of bad teams.

Ugh, just woke up, first post without reading anyone else's stuff.

Last night boiled down to 2 main areas for me, redzone offense, and the FG unit which once again found a way to screw up.

Dallas was begging for a loss last night, disappointed we couldn't deliver.

Agree completely.
If I were the Cowpukes I would be worried about the ineffectiveness of their Red Zone offense. Granted we were not great but neither was Dallas.

My smackdown goes to Rex Grossmans speed and girly hands.

Good God I'd rather have Trent Williams w/ the ball scrambling out to the left then Grossman.

Grossman even was looking behind him and still couldnt stop from fumbling. He is so damn slow. If he gets touched he fumbles.

Grossman is who he is. If he starts all 16 games he is good for about 30 total turnovers counting Int's and fumbles.

That being said he should still get the start vs. the Rams. Too early to pull him.
