Re: Sally Jenkins Strikes Again!

I've got no issues with what this woman says. As long as her husbands dinner is done, clothes cleaned/folded, and carpets are cleaned before she typed it

It is certainly having the effect that I suppose was intended on other media outlets. They bought it hook, line, and sinker. This is a real hatchet job at the time that the Redskins are looking for a new HC. I can't help but think that the timing of this article was intentional and mean-spirited.

Hopefully, it won't have any effect on the coaching candidates.

From the Fox Sports article:

"Any coaching candidate... should beware that the job will require more than just answering to owner Dan Snyder. Robert Griffin III apparently now has influence over the franchise's future as well. Griffin has 'bragged to teammates' about his close relationship with Snyder and his influence over the direction of the franchise, according to Sally Jenkins of The Washington Post. The report also indicates that Griffin has alienated some of his receivers as well as members of the offensive line with his actions, making team unity a tall order for whoever is tasked with leading the franchise going forward."

I said to my brother, and fully believe, that as important as it is that the new head coach is a good football coach, it is even more important that he be able to win the hearts and minds of most of the media. I doubt anyone picked will win over the WP triumvirate, but the new coach needs to be able to be media friendly and savvy.

Just joking. I'm sure Jenkins's mother is actually a very nice, respectable lady.

Correct me if I'm wrong but didn't he only speak once a week, on Wednesdays and postgame from the podium....LIKE EVERY OTHER STARTING NFL QUARTERBACK?!?! That's the required minimum for a starting QB in the NFL. He didn't do any one on one interviews once camp started (that I'm aware of), didn't do any TV or radio shows, etc. How exactly did he 'run his mouth the entire year'?

I think that RG3 is really suffering from Tebow-like backlash. He was so good, so popular, so well liked, so fast that many people, sadly Redskins fans included, revel in his struggle this year. Because society is conditioned to be cynical nowadays, we are far too willing to believe anything negative connected to them. Coupled with on the field struggles it makes it so much easier to confirm whatever negative narrative you've chosen to believe.

A friend of mine asked me earlier in relation to RG3 if I believe 'where there's smoke, there's fire' to which I responded, 'while there may be a fire, the question to ask is if all of the smoke is being produced by the fire or is someone hold the fan to blow whatever smoke there is in a way that it overwhelms you?'

Oh, his tweeting, his ESPN special, his GQ spread, his relentless self-hype and coming back for week 1, his father's backtalk...and all of it translated to absolutely nothing on the field this year. He'll be a victim of the Snyder Curse soon enough and you will all turn on him because that's what you guys do...box up all the blame and lay it at the feed of those about to exit.

p.s. when it comes to character RW1 > RG3, Luck > RG3, Kap > RG3

Well I think that's a little excessive, idk if I'd want her to put her lips on it , maybe a simple handjob would be better

Re: Sally Jenkins Strikes Again!

Thread was getting way out of hand. Starting to think Sally Jenkins articles should only be discussed in the "Debating with the Enemy" forum
