Re: Homecoming / Houston Thread

Trent was at practice today doing drills, I bet he's back for Thanksgiving.

Update per Jay

Dunbar , TW and Hopkins are all Questionable.

Crowder and CT are out

TW is a warrior, but I am not sure how I feel about him playing. I'd rather he come back 100% (or as close to it as possible) against the Pukes, as that is a far more important game for us.

Beating Dallas at home would silence some of the haters (but not all, of course).

Re: Homecoming / Houston Thread

The reason why we are getting so much hate is because on national TV we were simply not competitive against the Saints. Not competitive against Atl and they just lost to the Browns. Loss at home against the Colts. We have 3 really bad losses. Tampa rolled up 500 yards and we were under 300 w/ 16 points, w/ the d getting 4 turnovers against a terrible defense. Sorry but these are legit reasons. We're a weak 6-3 team. It is what it is folks.

As far as the coaching, it's pretty average and we all know that. It's not news that this is not considered a top staff.

NFL is a passing/offense driven league, so they are not going to care about a strong defensive team that runs the ball well. Plain and simple.

The Redskins could have a good run and finish with a strong 11-5 or 10-6 record, and they would still not give the team any credit, because it is not a popular team.

I don't know if I buy that. Seattle had some really good teams running the ball. We need to show better against the best teams to get respect. That starts Sunday against a hot Texans team.

Dude, CT is a little guy who takes a beating.

The type of injury he has, he can't breathe without pain much less block rushers, and take hits. He would not be effective injured.

He is plenty tough coming back from the injury he had last year.

Im always hesitant to say stuff like this on here, but that's just a stupid ass comment. Contributes nothing.

So the latest is that TW might give it a go, Perine hurt his calf and is out and probably placed on IR and Marshall will be activated from IR.

Totally agree, with injured ribs just doing light duties suck, a cough, sneeze or deep breath hurts quite a bit. There isn't any treatment other than taking it easy, they will never heal without rest.

Re: Homecoming / Houston Thread

The guy has broken ribs. Trust me- I’ve done it. And breathing regularly hurts. I have no issues with his toughness. Durability yes but toughness no. There’s a difference.

Rib injuries are no joke. Anyone questioning CT clearly has no idea how painful it can be.

I have unfortunately collected many injuries through my life, playing football and boxing through college, crashing motorcycles, having bad luck and just being plain reckless as a youth. By the age of 19 I had already had skull, neck, and back fractures. At 24 I broke a wrist and collarbone, at 30 I broke my ankle. Those are injuries comparable to what happens to a lot of NFL players. I am tougher than most people, but could not imagine trying to play tackle football with the injuries some fans expect players to play through.

I am guessing some of the adults I have seen scream or cry after being stung by a hornet are hiding behind a keyboard wanting CT to play in an NFL game with broken ribs, when if they had his pain they would not even get out of bed.

Sorry, end of rant.

Re: Homecoming / Houston Thread

Bitching about 6-3? I can hardly believe it! Should I believe what our record says we are or should I believe the Skins-hating Talking Heads in the Media and the curmudgeons on this site who say we're really not any good? I'll believe our 6-3 record because that constitutes proof that we can win and the other noise is simply revisionist bullshit.
