Re: What Shows Are You Watching?
I've never been more anxious about a show. That ending scene was brilliant.

Re: What Shows Are You Watching?
I don't think I even noticed that it was a continuous shot, but it definitely reminded me of the end of Children Of Men, which is one of my favorite movies. It was pretty incredible!

Re: What Shows Are You Watching?
Exactly what came to my mind during that scene. Cuaron has to be proud of Fukunaga's vision. The blocking, itself, must have been a chore to execute.

The last 10-15 minutes or so were pretty intense. Once Cohle went into that biker bar my blood pressure went up a few notches.

Love "Duck Dynasty" as it has no cursing, no sex, no violence. Just a family friendly show. Just IMHO!

Re: What Shows Are You Watching?
Finally getting around to watching The Wire. Almost done with season 1 now. It started off a little slow, but by episode 4 or 5 I was definitely hooked. Great show.

Re: What Shows Are You Watching?
The Wire is definitely one of the greatest shows ever. I don't know if its level of detail and realism will ever be matched.

Re: What Shows Are You Watching?
In my opinion, when hbo was running the sapranos, the wire and Six ft under, that was the greatest period of American drama ever on tv. Writing, acting and production was hitting on all cyclinders in everyone of those shows. Television had never seen anything like it before and it inspired so much we see today.

Re: What Shows Are You Watching?
if you've missed it, homicide is a good series... at least the first 3 seasons and the movie. season 4-5 suffered from good writers and good actors leaving (for LA, since it was shot in baltimore) and being replaced by guys that weren't as good.
