So much talent at ESPN, but I just don't think theres enough air time to properly show case it, even with an event that drags on like the draft.

Re: 2011 NFL Draft
KI Skins Fan,
I know I mentioned DL but I was told a pass rushing LB. Funny to me it's LB or DE who is a hybrid LB. So because of that I simply said DL but that also left open NT. |

An extra pick in the third round would be a beautiful thing if the Skins were to pick winners in round one and round three after trading down. |

Re: 2011 NFL Draft
I hope the changes to the draft coverage espn is planning make a difference because for the past 10 years thier coverage has gotten progressively worse. There has been less Kiper every year and more talking head players who do no homework. The Bristol setup is awful...fans waited 4 months for the draft...they dont want to watch an episode of NFL Live during the draft. And the worst part of all is when they go into thier hell with the draft thats going on live mode...instead lets interview everyone under the fkn sun while one pick after another flies by! Last year they did that for most of the Friday coverage! I swear if NFL network had Kiper then ESPN would lose me for good. I love Mayock but draft day is not the same for me without Mel.
Sorry for the ESPN bashing Smoot...I know none of this is your fault. Hopefully they realized how bad thier coverage has gotten and the changes they are planning do the trick.

Re: 2011 NFL Draft
Also has the NFL realized how stupid their friday start time last year was? Goodell talked about getting the draft in primetime yet they started round 2 right in the middle of the Friday rush hour! 7:30 or 8 is primetime not 6PM! Its bad enough they ruined the Saturday draft holiday for the die hards who helped make the draft an event but the start times are utterly rediculous. And thank god i don't live on the west coast...instead of saturday morning they get 3 and 4 PM on weekdays. Nice job Roger...

Re: 2011 NFL Draft
Im starting to think "the tradedown" move is more likely and most preferable with our second round pick than our first round. I just got a funny feeling we are going Locker with our 10th pick now, if what im hearing that Miller, Quinn will not be there at 10.

Re: 2011 NFL Draft
with our second pick, I was thinking maybe taiwan jones would be a good pick. With his speed (4.35) he could be a great change of pace back in the mold of jamaal charles. Just a nice spark to the offense. Just something to think about.

Re: 2011 NFL Draft
Well, its draft week and the NFL still has its head up its doo doo hole.
It would be nice to know if we need to draft a WR or a CB but free agency didnt happen so we are screwed in that dept. ![]() Cant trade Stainsworth or McNabb for picks..... ![]() Labor unions blow goats!

Re: 2011 NFL Draft
We can get taiwan jones in the 5th of 6th round. I love that kid's speed and elsuiveness. My only concerns is a size. He's kinda small to be playing rb in this league. I think he might bulk up a little bit.

Re: 2011 NFL Draft
Size isn't the main concern with this guy, it's that he's very injury prone.

Re: 2011 NFL Draft
Heard a draft analyst say this morning on the way to work that NT Kendrick Ellis was the most undervalued propect in the draft.
