Re: Ramsey Rumor Thread

Kitna is signed for four years.

Since he didn't visit them. I don't think Ramsey was interested in going there.

Mike Martz has his hands full. The receivers are not the precise route runners he likes and he has to build the O line.

The Bucs might work for Ramsey. Chris Simms doesn't look like a lock and he's only signed for one year.

Re: Ramsey Rumor Thread

Maybe someone can answer this question.

I can't figure out why the Redskins don't give Jimmy Sexton permission to contact all the teams P. Ramsey might be interested in...with the exception of our NFC East rivals.

If reports are correct, he was given permission to contact only Miami, Detroit, and the Jets. Now Clayton says he's been given permission to visit the Bucs. Why restrict him to those teams?

There must be a good reason but I haven't figured it out. Can you?

the team has to ask the skins first. ramsey is the one that said no to cinncy.

the packers would probably look at mccown first if farve says no and he still hasn't signed.

Yes. I understand that the team has to ask the Skins first. My question was: Why don't the Skins give Jimmy Sexton permission to contact other teams of his choosing? What's the disadvantage if Ramsey's agent finds a trading partner?

I haven't heard about any interest from Cincinnati. Who reported that? Do you recall?

Bengals | Team possible landing spot for Ramsey
Thu, 16 Mar 2006 06:54:30 -0800

Randy Lange, of the Bergen Record, reports the Cincinnati Bengals have been added as a possible trading partner with the Washington Redskins for QB Patrick Ramsey.

so now there's an official source for sure.

They have the weapons. Given doubt on Palmer's knee, Ramsey could do worse if he's only committed for one year.

Marvin Lewis had a good look at Patrick, so he knows what he's getting.

Re: Ramsey Rumor Thread

Clayton...

The Bucs had former Saints quarterback Aaron Brooks in a for a visit on Thursday. They are also trying to make arrangements to get a visit from Redskins quarterback Patrick Ramsey. The Bucs received permission Wednesday to meet with Ramsey, who is available in a trade. The Redskins are asking for a fourth-round choice. The Jets have offered a seventh. The Bucs are shopping for a backup after releasing Brian Griese.

Re: Ramsey Rumor Thread

that'd be the complete list... in order of not sucking:
collins, griese, brooks, ramsey, harrington, gus (i wouldn't count maddox).

some might have harrington over ramsey, but joey has no leadership skills.
