ESPN - Williams is out of running for Redskins' coaching job - NFL

Re: Zorn becomes SKINS new OC.
Well Zorn is a good choice but I would of stuck with Al Saunders for another year to see if Campbell could take his game to the next level. Now Campbell and the Skins offense has to learn a new offense. Hopefully this works out. HTTR.

Re: Zorn becomes SKINS new OC.
Am I the only one that think Nick Saban and Jim Zorn look almost exactly alike?

Re: Zorn becomes SKINS new OC.
I actually like the hiring of Zorn but I can't stand how the front office is dealing with negative fan backlash of a possible Fassel hiring. Trying to make like G. Williams a bad guy and not fit to be promoted is criminal.
If you don't want to promote him to HC that's fine, but don't come with this fictional event to get Skins fans at ease with letting him go.

Re: Zorn becomes SKINS new OC.
i was never really that big on Saunders. with that being said, the best move for Jason Campbell might have been Saunders staying

Re: Zorn becomes SKINS new OC.
I think it's no coincidence that JC's best season in college came when he was running a WC offense. And here comes Zorn with his plan to run an aggressive passer-friendly version of the West Coast offense. It would not shock me of JC put his seal of approval on this hire.

Re: Zorn becomes SKINS new OC.
Here's what I can tell you about offenses in general: ones that allow for higher quarterback completion percentages also allow for higher touchdown totals, and lower interception totals.
Now, not every kind of "west coast offense" necessarily makes it QB friendly, and no one knows for sure if Zorn is even going to run a west coast scheme. But a scheme that stresses completing passes is going to inflate passing efficiency for ANY QB, and of course, Campbell included. The big key is to find a way to do it that isn't at the expense of rushing efficiency. Course, as the Redskins, that shouldn't be a problem. We couldn't run last year anyway.

Re: Zorn becomes SKINS new OC.
So... how long until Collins is gone? Without AS, his values is nil.

Re: Zorn becomes SKINS new OC.
Nice article on redskins.com about Zorn. "Could signal significant change in the redskins offense next year". Positive feed from JC, ready to get started with Zorn.
