Re: Predictions: Redskins @ Cowboys

The Cowboys offense is unstoppable. Look what Philly's D did to the Steelers and look what the Boys did to them. Look at the Pack's D for the past year and look at how Dallas worked them... I'm seeing a solid start with a dismal finish.

Cowboys win.... 28 - 17

This is what I have to disagree with. The one constant so far with our D is that they learn in game. I imagine Dallas may start hot, ie the Giants, but the Skins will learn and lock them down. My concern is has the O gelled enough to work its way through their D.
We will see.

Why does everyone continue to give the Skins something like 10-17 points?! Dallas is going to score it's points, but let's remember that this ain't Joe Gibbs Redskins anymore. We're scoring quite a few points ourselves and Dallas' defense didn't suddenly become awesome with the addition of Pacman Jones and Zach Thomas.

But the loss of Roy Williams might help...

No...Cowboys are stoppable. Go back and look at the GB game. Didn't GB held them to like 3 points the whole first half. Dallas's machine didn't kick in until like late 3rd quarter. That was only because GB could not fend off the Dallas rush and get a first down now and then to spell the defense long enough. I'm not impressed with Philli and the Steelers have not looked like the SB Steelers since they hired their new coach.

I'm betting our D creates more 3 and outs for Dallas causing their D to be exausted by half time. I think even though we have had a bad time running...I'm betting Zorn figures out how to get Portis the ball for long gains.

Something no one is talking about, Is the cards D may be better than the cowgirls, I mean definetly their seconday is. A. Wilson is a beast and Rolle is becoming a very good safety. They may not bring the pressure dallas does but if we can give JC a little time I trust he'll get the job done. The key T.O.P.

Another thing that no one is talking about is that this game will probably be decided by how well the Redskins can play, and not by how well the Cowboys can play.

So far, we've yet to commit a turnover. If this can continue, then I don't see Dallas beating us.

Re: Predictions: Redskins @ Cowboys

I don't see the deep game working this time since Williams is out. The Skins won't turn it over but we'll have Red Zone problems this week. Barber, unfortunately, will probably get over a hundred yards but TO will throw a hissy fit on the sideline because Blache's D will stifle him. I actually think this will be a low scoring game with Garrett being conservative after early ints.
14-12 Pokes.

BTW I still think the Skins beat them in the playoffs.

Redskins 31 Dallas 24

Respect to the Girls. They are the best team in the NFC but this week the apple cart gets tossed. The Redskins defensive line will get after Homo and keep Barber contained. The defensive secondary will keep TO under wraps. No big plays on special teams. This will be a hard fought, close contest.

Unfortunately I don't see us winning in Dallas:

Skins 20
cowpies 27

The good news is that I am often wrong.

Wow, 28 people who come to this sight and talk skins football could bring themself to pick the Cowboys. Ok, maybe its a little less because we do have a few fans from other teams. I couldn't pick the Cowboys even if our entire line of starters where out due to injury. How do you talk smack while picking the other team to win?
