Re: It's Over: Cutler Going to Chicago
Man, people in Chicago are going insane (in a good way). I guess that's what happen when you have mediocre after mediocre QB in the Bears roster. This is hilarious, I feel like calling ESPN 1000 and thank them.

Re: It's Over: Cutler Going to Chicago
he has a rocky season ahead of him in Chicago. A sub-par line, no recievers, and a defense that is decent when healthy. Although he will learn what a defense looks like, he is going to miss Denver!

Re: It's Over: Cutler Going to Chicago
Man am I relieved we didn't touch that. I'm just hoping that after Campbell rips it up this year he won't tell the Skins to kiss his ass. How could you really be happy playing somewhere you know you're not wanted? Poor guy, I feel sorry for him and after reading his comments you can't help but to feel even worse. He deserves another year after all the BS and inconsistency he's been through in the past few years. Light it up and prove'm wrong JC!

Re: It's Over: Cutler Going to Chicago
I'm actually very pleased that Dan didn't "win" this contest. I'm not convinced that Cutler is actually any better than JC, and I am absolutely convinced that JC hasn't had a real shot. That's what this year should be for: It's basically a career year for JC, Zorn, Vinny, and his second round play makers from last year's draft.
I'm more interested in them watching them sink or swim together rather than having another year with a mulligan attached. |

Wow. If our FO had made this deal... I shudder to think what might have happened.
Saved by the Bears. Didn't they also take AA off our hands? We'll see about JC.

Re: It's Over: Cutler Going to Chicago
Not only with his skill, but how he handles controversy. If the rumors are true, he has been given the proverbial middle finger by our FO. So far (granted, maaaybe an hour has gone by...), so good.

Re: It's Over: Cutler Going to Chicago
Whew, I am totally relieved..
As for Bears, it's kinda of interesting.. A good friend of mine is huge Bears fan; they do have good TEs in Clark and Olsen, Lloyd actually is playing much better than when he was at here and Forte - he's rising pretty good.. He was my fantasy as well, helped my team lot.. But this offense pretty much looks like our offense last year.. |

Re: It's Over: Cutler Going to Chicago
Hey a rookie QB in the fold isn't bad if we went for Bradford or McCoy. I mean Collins is going bye bye soon anyway, and who knows how the JC/Brennan show is going to go. I would go for those guys for 1. insurance and 2. depth. Or do you guys suggest we go for another Mark Brunnell?

Re: It's Over: Cutler Going to Chicago
Thank God for the Bears :headbange
So the next thread that starts going down the "Our FO is the worst in the NFL", Vinny sucks, Snyder sucks.....all I'll say is Bears & Cutler.

Heres the thing. If you're a good reciever you can get around 900 yards with good QB play (70-80 rating). If you're a great reciever you can easily put up around 1,200 yards (case in point Calvin Johnson, Larry Fitzgerald, Anquan Boldin). The right QB acan easily turn someone from a 500-700 yard guy into a 1,000+ yard guy. That is the impact of a great QB. I honestly believe that was the case with Eddie Royal and the rest of the Bronocs recievers not named Marshall.

Re: It's Over: Cutler Going to Chicago
So after 48 frenzied hours and endless speculation, we're right back where we started. I'd think we need to go ahead and extend Campbell for 3 years now so we don't have to live with the 'they tried to trade you' garbage all pre-season and season. Without that, we're going to be back to 'what are we going to do at QB' speculation next offseason.
