I think Colt deserves an equal shot at the starting job as does campbell, and whomever the 3rd QB will be.

not to beat a dead horse but why do you think colt "deserves" an equal shot, campbell should be the number one qb going into next year and it should be his job to lose. after all he was our starter all year and had the best stats of his career, if you don't beleive me just ask buster

btw i'm not a huge campbell supporter but i think he is our best option and i'm a pretty big brennan fan i loved him in college

It's a new system, and Brennan had never played a down in the regular season nor has he ever played with starters in the NFL. Campbell has played 5 years in 3 different systems, he in my eyes is just as deserving as Colt, and whomever we get at QB whether its the draft or Free agency.

That seems to be the plan.

Wow, the Colt threads continue to blow my mind. We don't all have to agree that Jason Campbell is the future of the Redskins, that's relevant but a little besides the point. What should be clear by now is that Jason Campbell is a legit starter in this league. That much we know. In fact, he had a better season than eighteen other starters last season. And has consistently hovered somewhere around the middle of the pack since becoming a starter.

How can anyone say with 100% certainty that Colt Brennan "deserves" a shot for the number one spot when he's shown nothing to very little with the shots he's already been given? He barely, and I mean barely, beat out Chase Daniel for the final roster spot.

like i said i really like colt, but i don't get where the "he deserves it" comes from, i think we really may have messed up letting chase go he was a damn good qb at mizzou. odds are that campbell and brennan won't be here after this season, and maybe not even this season

I hope Colt Brennan is the second coming of Joe Montana/Brett Farve/Peyton Manning/Tom Brady (pick your HOF'er). I don't think he is. I don't think he ever will be.

But I will gladly eat crow if he truly is the Pineapple Jesus.

Brennan was our greatest quarterback from Hawaii in the Zorn era. He clearly deserves to put Peyton Manning on the bench. Y'all give him a break.

I'm secretly praying we take Bradford so we can finally dump "The Colt."

Re: Give Colt Brennan a shot with the 1st team offense in 2010

I don't think we even need Bradford or Clausen, Saden, to do that. If we get Lefevour, Brown, Kafka, Stull, Crompton, Snead, etc, I think Colt is doomed. I could see us also signing an undrafted QB also to be honest. There are over a dozen pro prospect college Qbs coming out in 2010, most from major conferences that faced tough opponents just about every week. Not all of them will be drafted, Some had bad combines like Canfield. I never heard how Joe Elliot's combine went either.

Pretty hard to "root" against Colt getting a change and having success. Evidently he's matured a great deal and working very hard. If he can breakout...fantastic.

I want Colt to do well. I rooted for him til it seemed like Chase Daniel showed more poise last season. If Colt can come through, more power to him.
