Where is Mike Singletary when you need him?

It's not often that I completely agree with Sally Jenkins, but she says it's the line play too: washingtonpost.com

Time to stop treating draft choices like beads to be tossed at Mardi Gras. Teams like Pittsburgh, Green Bay, Philly, and New England are built primarily through the draft, with a few free agents filling holes.

Re: Lets keep things into perspective and not panic people!

Everyone wants to say give it a year, or whatever but the honest truth is we were "suppose" to win this year. that is what was pushed to us as skins fans "the future is now" crap. I think the reason i am so pissed after this game is the fact we still loose games like we do. Giving up 17 point lead vs. the Texans, digging ourself a 14-0 hole against the freaking rams, only to fight back and give it up at the end. No matter who has been the coach these outcomes have always been the same. Whether the players, coaches, front office whatever we still have that same characteristic as a team. Another thing that gets me is why can't we run a freaking fade route in the endzone! Why can't we get over all this EGO crap and put our best players on the field. Yes, I am talking Albert. You can't tell me that he isn't better than freaking gholston, or Holliday, Kemo. And Devin Tomas isn't better than some of the stuff we put out there at WR. Devin really played well at the end of the year last year. and the playcalling, it was like we were down 28 points or something. Getting 6 to 7 yards a carry and completely scrap the running game! Its the same ole Redskins no matter who is wearing the headset.

It's unfortunate that so many fans believe there is no way the Skins could pull off an unexpected win when they just had an unexpected loss.

There's no sugarcoating Sunday's loss. It was a bad loss. But we're tied for 2nd in the division (or last depending on how you look at it) and 1-0 in the division. I guess it's fine if we want to get apocalyptical (probably not a word) at this point but I sure hope the people that matter (the ones in the locker room) aren't. Because if the message inside the locker room is let's pack it in now...I'll find another team to root for.

Seems the Don't Panic thread always surfaces around this time of year.

Smootsmack:

I believe the adjective you seek is apocalyptic.

BTW, I wonder if there is such a word as "apocalypticosity"...

Oh yeah, a shootout or two when McNabb has a hot hand.

But I'm pretty sure that
P. Manning will torch us
Rodgers will torch us
Cutler will torch us
Chris Johnson will torch us
Romo will get payback
Vick will torch us and throw in a dead dog carcass as well.
Adrian Peterson will torch us
The LIONS will beat us.

Yeah, it's about time we faced a really difficult schedule so there aren't anymore excuses for mediocrity and mediocre teams(like making the playoffs in Gibbs 2.0). Inspired by the [blank] Mike Singletary, "WE WILL" lose a ton of games this season.

While your correct, it is a TOUGH schedule. It's to early to throw in the towel. That's why they play the games?

To enlighten the fans, one way or another.

Once again we'll let a young QB beat us and give another winless team their first victory of the season.

100%.... It is very frustrating to see the same characteristics in our team year after year. especially since the entire team has been replaced from HC to water boy. Still can't keep a lead. Still bringing games into final seconds just to lose in the end. Still losing games we should win. Still not using our talent correctly. Still calling a lousy game. If we need 10 yards we throw for 5 if we need 5 yards we throw for 2, when we need 2 yards we throw for 20 and miss, ect... Can't run, can't tackle, No sense of ergency.

Same ole Redskins... (sigh) yeah
