Yeah pretty sure it would be a waste of a new thread.
How crazy would it be to see Allen and Snyder walking down Bourbon St.? |

I don't live far from New Orleans. Now I wish that I had gone to the French Quarter last night. Running into Snyder and Allen would be too cool. Maybe they'd buy me a beer, too. How cool would it be to share Guinness with Allen while I raved about the influence of the Allen family on the Skins!

At least some ammo that shows he doesn't hate all media. Maybe just the WashPo.

Yup as expected, only bad press for Danny keeps the trolls happy.

After 15 mins the pitts writer walks away thinking the DS isnt a bad egg. Do you think this pitts writer would have blogged this non-story if he wasnt friends with Tony? Seems Tony was doing his job, getting a buddy to do a fluff 2 second piece. This comes off as satire to me. Breaking News! Breaking News! Dan Snyder acts like a normal person for 15 minutes! Im not sure what the point of the blog was but it was either: 1) the pitts writer was so surprised the DS acted normal for 15 mins he just had to tell the world or 2) he did a quick harmless favor for Tony his buddy and PR guy for the trampeled upon DS Im sure Tony will just so happen to try and get photos of the DS with his hair down and looking like a regular dude having a beer circulating soon enough. Thats not a 15 min PR plug people, thats who he is a likable approachable person who puts his pants on one leg at a time. Do you honestly think that 2 second piece wasnt a PR plug done for a friend? hahaha

Re: Danny Snyder Forces The Washington Post to Rename “Redskins Insider” to “Football Insider”
My bad i misread it and thought it was Steinberg’s encounter.
But that doesnt really change the thoughts in my post. Youre supposed to act like a decent person all the time, people rarely get called out and recognized for doing positive or non-negative stuff. A new thread started about how Snyder somehow managed not to do anything bad last week wouldnt generate over a page worth of replies, because it illustrates how a normal decent person acts. |

But wouldn't it be great to have 15 minutes with him to see if our media-fueled perceptions of him are accurate or not? And if we found out that he was not such a bad guy in those 15 minutes, wouldn't that make our perceptions more real and meaningful? I grant that 15 minutes is a very short time to get to know someone. But it beats the heck out of zero minutes.

Re: Danny Snyder Forces The Washington Post to Rename “Redskins Insider” to “Football Insider”
Im sure dan can be a nice guy to hang out with and be around, maybe he tells really good stories and makes everyone laugh.
But i look at like what does it matter if he makes a good first impression or if hes a fun guy to hang out with. Maybe Mike Vick was a great guy to grab a beer with back when he was killing dogs. If you knew what Vick was going to do after he pays your tab would you still be chummy with him or would think to yourself this guy is a piece of trash. Actions speak louder then words in my opinion. All Snyder has to do is stop being a piece of shit and my impression of him will change. Until then id pass on his free beer and giving 15 minutes of my time to him. |

Re: Danny Snyder Forces The Washington Post to Rename “Redskins Insider” to “Football Insider”
Not sure it's even worth calling a PR move. A writer has a beer with Snyder in New Orleans and writes about it in his blog and it gets mentioned in a WP blog. Blogs these days are full of mundane items like this.
If that's a PR plug our PR guy isn't earning his pay. |
