Doesnt look bad, but CB is an epic fail with that line up. Experienced CB is needed...Carlos, Ike Taylor, or Nnamdi Asomugha...any would really work.

I love how the freaking turds at ESPN do their draft breakdown for the NFC east and spend 6 minutes talking about Dallas, 30 seconds on the Skins, Giants and Eagles and then tell everyone if they want to see more about the Cowboys draft, go to espn.com/Dallas. They gave them a B- and us a C. Are you kidding me bro? The Cowboys draft sucked. We got the same guy we would have picked at 10, 6 spots later and turned it into 5 extra quality picks. That's some god damn strategery man. I hope Kiper gets his game show host Afro caught in his Flowbee during his next bi annual hair cut.

Hmm, that's ESPN for you, I swear they part own the Cowroids the way they continually heap unwarranted praise on those turds. On the other hand, Dan Patrick totally trashed their draft, and their organization in the most professional way today, and I loved every minute of it.

I think you're trying too hard to rationalize a simple concept, they kept trading down to acquire more picks for a team in dire need of players, simple as that.

Agreed. We need youth, and a lot of it. Also, despite trading down a lot, they actually did trade up to get Helu, so I certainly wouldn't say they were trying too hard to send a message.

Ok I can see that, I sometimes miss the forest for the trees. I was driving all through the second and third round and listening to it on my phone, without being able to actually see some draft boards it just seemed like some of the trade backs were excessive. However I am nowhere near as well versed in the draft as some of you let alone Shanny and Allen obviously.

First time in 7 years I'm excited about what may happen with the Skins.

FO did a great job. Lots of youth, didn't waste a truckload of $$ on a overpaid a-hole.

The Raiders really hurt our chances at keeping carlos rogers for a reasonable price. When they gave Stanford Routt 3 years/ 31 MIL they basically set the market for rogers, or at least gave his agent some bargaining ammo when the Redskins eventually try to talk to them. These two guys basically have identical statistics last year Rogers -54 tackles, 1 FF, 2 INT Routt - 55 Tackles, 1 FF, 2 INT. Both are cover corners with no hands. Add to that the fact that Rogers is bitter about his tender last season and I would expect him to walk.

FWIW, Chris Landry, former NFL Scout had good things to say about the Skins draft. In summary:

Kerrigan is going to be very, very good
Liked the value picks, Robinson, Thompson, etc
Paul- good return guy, physical, should help on ST
Helu-should fit Shanny's system

He said he doesn't grade drafts but really, really liked what the Skins did.

Landry is an effing pimp. I always catch him on sports radio round here. Out of all the so called experts, he is usually the most correct...guy used to run the combine and he still may work as a consultant for some teams.

Defensive line still looks like a trouble area, but that wasn't going to be a one year rebuild anyway. We did what we needed to do in the first season. Linebacker, once Rocky goes elsewhere, looks like the strength of our defensive unit. Secondary will be a force in run defense (against last year when they were a weakness), and they'll be bad in coverage unless the pass rush takes a big step forward, which it may.

The defense will probably be average to slightly below average in 2011.
