They forgot to add:

PS: We will continue to hold Carson Palmer on our team, even though he is disgruntled and could easily earn us a couple of picks in next year's draft.

Boy did vonnie holliday embarrass the shit out of himself. What an idiot. I hope the rest of the player reps aren't as idiotic and uninformed as he is, for the players sakes...........

How exactly did he embarrass himself? Has anything he said (which he said on ESPN 980 and NFL Radio this morning he was making a play on words from Malcolm X having fun with his followers) that has been refuted? The owners ratified a SETTLEMENT PROPOSAL not an agreement. They changed some of the terms and language in the previous proposal. Would you buy a house without seeing it, walking every room and flipping a light switch?

Fans are taking-and making-this WAY too personally. Yes it's frustrating, yes it's annoying, yes it's all largely foolishness but the bottom line is we will have free agency soon, camp within 2 weeks and a full preseason and regular season.

Agreed.

Man, the callers on NFL radio today are just clueless. People are acting like a deal was struck and the players are simply refusing to go along with it now.

I heard VH on the radio today talking very calmly and intelligently about the issues. One thing he's not is an idiot.

This is from just before the owner's most recent proposal yesterday. This is what the NFLPA last saw

Perhaps not a smart move by Holliday, but that doesn't mean he's not smart.

Like I said previously, too many fans are taking and making this personal.

bitter much? you don't think these guys have rights to earn as much as they can? that's what 'merica is all about man. they wouldn't be fighting over all this money if you weren't spending it in the first place. if you really have a beef then stop buying nfl merch

There are four NFL players that I know about that are now permanently quadriplegic from playing NFL football. Plus two, Thomas Herrion of the 49ers and Korey Stringer that died immediately after walking off the football field from heat Strokes.
Not sure how many of your 65K cubicle co-workers were injured severely enough to end up quadriplegics or end up dieing from work related hazards?

It is the owners that sit fat in the air conditioned owners box while the players are sweating on the field and putting theirs LIVES on the line in a very violent and dangerous game.

Wow.......look I played this game in high school and college for free and if they would have had me as a pro as well ,I think most of us would love to play this game as a living.......but man you make them sound like Gods .......the players are just that players .I sure as hell would like to knmow what you think of the Police ,Fire and EMT's that responded to 9/11....that only made 45.000
Korey Stringer was over weight and as a player who has had heat stroke .....you know when something isn't right,he's as much to blame as anyone.....he should have been hydrating for days in preseason.....he wasn't a rookie. I played in a game were a player died an another almost did it wasn't the coaches or the other team...and it took me along time to realize that....it just happens and people do the best they can but as the T-shirt says ....shit happens
