Re: 49ers @ Redskins Pregame Thread
I don't think we will win, i really think this season we will be a 3 or 4 win team, BUT...i hope we see positive things out of this game that will leave us looking forward to next season not just hoping that we can fix the problems with signing a few players here and there.
I hope Beck looks more comfortable because I think Shanahan is dead set on him being the QB for the next several years....

Re: 49ers @ Redskins Pregame Thread
Good point. I wish we at least had a rookie in the 3rd string spot. Last year's draft class for QBs was pretty good. I dunno how next year's is gonna be.

Also, I hope to hell they get a win tomorrow, because tomorrow I don't have to work, and next Sunday I do have to work. Which means I'll have to dvr the Miami game, and hope against all hope that nobody is a dick and tips off the score to me like last time I dvr'd the game. Hopefully we get a rare glimpse at a good team tomorrow.

Re: 49ers @ Redskins Pregame Thread
Hey everybody, it was a quote he said regarding Rex Grossman, and making the switch to John Beck.
"I believe in Rex, and I believe in John Beck," Shanahan said. "I told you that from Day One. Both guys, I'm hoping, are going to be here for a long time. … I've been around quarterbacks in the National Football League for a long time, and I know these guys have got what it takes." Players back Redskins' Grossman; Shanahan not sure – USATODAY.com Straight from the horses mouth

What in the world do people expect Shanahan to say? "Well we were hoping to draft Jake Locker and use Hasselbeck or Rex as a bridge to starting Locker in 2012. Things didn't work out that way so we'll just make do with what we have and hope Foles is there when we pick next April."
