Re: London Fletcher re-signs with Redskins

Mayock torched him saying that he has zero instincts (as NC Skins also said) and that he's basically a run-around-traffic tackler who actually makes big hits. I also read some of his statements about how he was misused, blaming things on his coaches, etc. Apparently, he was horrific in team meetings at the pro-day. Seems to me this kid has more than a little maturity problem - some kids never get it no matter what kind of mentors are around him. This guy strikes me as one of those. From what I have read, calling him "head case" is being kind. If he's around after the draft and the coaching staff wants to deal with him, fine. Otherwise, we have too many needs to waste a pick on an immature, overhyped ILB.

Re: London Fletcher re-signs with Redskins
5 year deal but essentially 2 years, 10.7 million, with 5.2 guaranteed per JLC and others

Re: London Fletcher re-signs with Redskins
Much less than what Fletcher wanted and even what Redskins were reportedly initially offering.
Now we wait to see what happens with guys like Trent Williams, Chris Cooley, D Hall, Jabar Gaffney and John Beck. Could see some cuts and restructures....no Williams won't be cut before you ask

Fletcher hobbled? That is completely ridiculous. You're the ultimate pessimist and it's beyond the point of just getting old. Your posts are beginning to hold the same value as those of Giantone and Sandtrapjack. You claim to be a Redskins fan, but have you ever actually cheered for the team? Anyway, you probably love the attention your out-of-touch posts receive so I'll finish up stroking your ego and just say... Finally! Resigning London is one of the most important moves we've made this offeseason!

Re: London Fletcher re-signs with Redskins
Not to take this thread off course but I "ignore" a lot of people because dailogue with them is rarely ever worth it,but I probably can't "officially" since I'm a mod.
Anyhow, others should probably do the same or just add people to your ignore list. Now back to London...

There was a time when I actually enjoyed his post or got some information from them. If you read his post thinking everything he says is fact you are sadly misinformed. He just throws so much crap against the wall in hopes it will stick no one with any sort of life would have the time to research everything he says. GT is someone who needs to step back and determine the quality of his life. If all he does (it seems that way at least) at the young age of 23 is research and write as many negative things as possible about the Redskins then he should recheck his priorities.

I usually do skip over and should have this time, but even more ludicrous than saying Fletcher is "hobbled" was his statement that he's not negative...had to respond. Probably shouldn't have but I was still in the "almost falling out of my chair" state. College-age know-it-alls won't listen to old geezers like us anyway.

Re: London Fletcher re-signs with Redskins
Apologies. You posted this while I was replying.
Agreed, I should have ignored him. So back to Fletcher... I fully expect him to play the next 2 years at a Pro Bowl level, not saying he'll be recognized but his play really has not declined. He'll throw in another couple of interceptions and plenty of highlight reel hits. I don't see him retiring until he's at least 40 unless he decides to leave before his play falls apart. Many players stay a year too long but if anyone has the intelligence and integrity to actually realize it's time to stop before it is too late, I think London would be that guy.
