Re: Redskins vs Bucs Post Game Reaction
Yep, the thing that angers me is that Walsh, Noll, Belichick are viewed as better than Joe G.

If Gibbs had Montana or Brady, he would have won 6 SB's. oh we'll, I'll take the 3.

Re: Redskins vs Bucs Post Game Reaction
who else about had a heart attack before the last missed field goal by us when RG3 was tackled and went down awkward with his knee planted and he got twisted back!? I never want to see that again we got lucky that easily could've been a really bad injury

Re: Redskins vs Bucs Post Game Reaction
glad we won.
Why are we only converting 2-11 on 3rd downs? Serious question, what are we not doing right on that specific down. It doesn't seem like distance really matters? |

I noticed guys not running to the chains today. Thats been a problem for the last three years. Even if the qb has to get rid of the ball quick our wr's are making their cuts like three yards short of the chains?

Re: Redskins vs Bucs Post Game Reaction
I would like to see what the down and distance is on the 3rd downs. I would venture to say we face more then 65% of those 3rd downs in a 3rd and longer than 5 yards. I saw at least 3 3-10+ plus yards today.

Re: Redskins vs Bucs Post Game Reaction
Was a fun game to watch. Coaches had a good game plan today on offense and defense. Our special teams is a woe for the 3rd week, out of the four played this year and that's alarming.
Penalties stopped a few drives that looked promising with some bonehead moves. I noticed on the V. Jackson touchdown that D. Hall played to the inside release, and Haslett was yelling on M. Williams that he was playing to soft? Could of been D. Hall as well. Only read his lips partly. Defense didn't play to bad since we are still missing 3 solid players in key roles. You can't hold a team for 6 points in the first half.. Come out on offense in the 2nd half, and not put any points on the board. Expecting the defense to just hold them out of the endzone all game. Our defense is not elite like that. A few notes that could of changed the game. -The two PF calls against the Bucs on RG 3 today. Both happen at key moments in the game and helped us, and both I disagreed with. -RG3 not reaching out on the 3rd down play that got reviewed. I guess that's just field awareness. First down there, and the game is about over. -Play call on 2nd down, right before the reviewed play? -Alfred Morris's underrated pass blocking today -RG3 still not throwing the ball away. Seems he's always trying to make the play even when there isn't any. Don't think that'll ever change though. -Riley still taking a lot of bad angles. -We lost a game in Cincy by a few plays that were determined by a matter of inches. Today, we won that battle. They throwback play on 3rd down was literally on target by less the half a yard. Here we come Falcons... Hopefully we can rise to the occasion and shock the world.

Waiting one more year against everyones wishes was the right move for this team. RG3 is proving himself to be worth every pick we sent to the Rams plus some. |

Re: Redskins vs Bucs Post Game Reaction
Yeah, those darn falcons, I tell ya.
No but seriously for someone whose picked us to lose the past two weeks, I really can see us winning that game. Its really typical redskins, bring your A game against the great teams, bring your C game against the bad teams. Atlanta's hot right now, and is a top 5 team IMO. Containing those two WR's is going to be the key to winning that game (and really tough) but playing at Home and with a win and the best offense in the NFL, anything can happen. quick fact; the past 6 years the skins have played the eventual super bowl champion. We have Baltimore and Atlanta on our schedule. I could easily see those two teams playing each other in February.

Re: Redskins vs Bucs Post Game Reaction
I like the post-game reaction threads a lot right now (definitely more after a win!), because there are a lot of great observations made. It's stuff I don't "see" until I watch the replay.
Any word on A. Robinson or B. Merriweather? That pre-game vid is some scary stuff, but wtf whoever was wandering with his head down has picked up Trent and Davis' old habit! I finally figured out who Garcon really reminds me of. Not Boldin (who is far better than Garcon will be, but a different type of WR as well), because it's Hines Ward fo shiz. Hopefully, Garcon has a few seasons over 1000+ like Ward did, or a career best (season) of 1300+ and 12 tds.

From now on I'm calling Alfred Morris (AM) "Good Morning". These defenses better wake the f**k up.
