Re: Samari or Freddy?
ok funbunch your joking ha ha i got it but just back up ur opinions thats about it i mean i don't claim to know everything as some of us here do, i mean i am open to opinion and your goals should be to change my opinion, if you don't like smoot then back it up, maybe i never knew something and i'll jump on your boat.
How are gonna have another fun bunch w/o continuity And i don't have any sisters!

Re: Samari or Freddy?
see now i see some reasons to why Samari should be here but i still haven't changed my opinion but if GW is cool w/ it i trust his descion and remember this could be a trick as said before to put pressure on smoot and also it could just be entirely untrue!
We will have to see but it seems some people on the team are advocating rolle coming here and these people aren't stupid |

Re: Samari or Freddy?
Ive noticed that Smoot does give receivers too much room and I have always wondered why so that is probably one of his major flaws. I know Smoot is not a number 1 corner and since he is asking for a salary that should be given to a number 1, we should seriously consider re-signing him. I dont hate Smoot but I am troubled by the fact that he says how badly he wants to be here and that it depends on whether we really want him. This is definitely not the case and I bet if some team were to offer him the big bucks he would gladly leave us. Honestly, it was Williams who put him on the map and Im sure he can do the same for whoever takes Smoot's place if he ends up leaving. Remeber, in the final game, springs and smoot were out for a good amount of time, leaving Harris and Wilds covering Moss and he still only got 5 catches.

Re: Samari or Freddy?
That is another good point in continuity. My question is though is Smoot the best for that position. In Coach Gibbs previous tenure he won 3 superbowls with 3 different qbs not much continuity there. However I do understand what you are saying and I agree but just get the proper players in there then hold on to them. This team has had a revolving door for too long now and its time it stops but I dont think it will until we can ship the Danny out of town.

Re: Samari or Freddy?
poor danny always being critisized and so far nothing has happened this season it is still possible that coles will stay and smoot and pierce will sign.
I guess it comes with the territory |

Re: Samari or Freddy?
Continuity is something we desperately need. But if u can get a guy whos better at his position than someone that is already with the team, it should be considered. Especially if the player does not want to be with the team.

Re: Samari or Freddy?
Remember, Gibbs is the guy who has the overall say with who we sign and dont sign.

Re: Samari or Freddy?
i still feel smoot will give in if he is given the chance i mean we can slap a tag on him right not the franchise tag but the transitional tag i think it is called, that would be an average of the top 10 CBs in the league and it would allow smoot to look for another team but it would give us a week to match any other team's offer.
I don't think smoot is as apreciated around the league as he is here.... i mean on the jets homepage there was a poll asking the best CBs in free agency and he was not even listed as an option and this was including all those even woodson when he had the tag on him so it would have included him if they felt him to be worthy. I think that smoot could understand that we may know that he is amazing but he may not be coveted to the level near rolle. Someday soon he will be but not yet. Rolle was on the list and i think he came in third behind ty law then woodson and that is good company. AGAIN WHY DON"T WE TRY FOR TY LAW IF WE ARE DISHIN OUT THE CASH |
