If I were Dan Snyder, I would be very troubled about the immediate future of my Franchise QB in this offense. The way RGIII is being used in the running game is irresponsible, IMO. I believe that RGIII may be running more on the pro level than he did in college. That is Ngata good idea. Actually, it is a recipe for disaster. Did my eyes deceive me, or did the Shanny's actually run a 1950's style Oklahoma Triple Option play with RGIII?! Sometimes I'd swear they are trying to get him reinjured with the stupid crap they ask him to do. Frankly, I'd welcome a little meddling by Dan Snyder in this case, if just to tell Shanny to cut out the designed running plays by RGIII. It's time for DS to step in and protect his most valuable player asset from the Shanahans who I think are myopically and callously shortening RGIII"s career. Also, isn't it about time for RGIII to receive the benefits of having a top-notch QB coach?

Re: skins eagles postgame
Yes, receiver Josh Morgan is clearly frustrated and told reporters that he was told he couldn’t talk after the game, then later telling The Washington Post, “Coach said I can’t talk. Coach said I can’t play football and I can’t talk.” Don’t know if that’s really true or not; Shanahan had already spoken by the time Morgan said this and could not be reached later. Morgan was inactive. He’s been frustrated for a couple weeks, but Morgan hasn’t been productive. He was given numerous chances to produce in various roles and did not do so. The Redskins paid him $6 million this season. We’ll call this Exhibit A as to why free agency is not a slam dunk answer and why the salary cap mess can’t be blamed for all that ails Washington.

Re: skins eagles postgame
Bingo - Shanny makes decision based on faith in people he knows. Like Burns on special needs teams and Le Rib. Shanny remembered Le Rib's coach from the glory days. Shanny smiled and said, "Son, we are drafting the Tex Mex eating championship first ballot hall of famer". MY buddy said he's a good kid.

Redskins players: Eagles ‘knew what was coming’ on offense and defense
“They did a good job of scheming us up,” quarterback Robert Griffin said. “They kind of knew what was coming before it was coming and that was disheartening. But like I told the guys, regardless of what’s going on out there, we’re the players and we have to make the plays work, and we just weren’t doing that in the first half.”

Last year, and independent of the read option, it seemed like KS was able to create open receivers through scheme. I just haven't seen that this year. When it has happened, players have very often simply failed to execute. To me, KS is simply not being as innovative as he has in the past (again, independent of the R/O, KS's schemes have historically created offense for players). Additionally, when the schemes succeed, like having TE running free in space, the players have not taken advantage of what the scheme offered. Several players - not just RGIII - seem to have really regressed this year. To me, our record is truly a team effort and that is deeply unsettling.

What puzzles me is the running game is so darn good. We should be dictating points on the board. No one can stop our running game. We should be winning with a running game like that. |
