Re: Do You Unequivocally Believe RG3 Is Our Franchise QB?
I believe the organization believes RG3 is the franchise qb.
But things need to get under control in that locker room.I said it weeks ago and I still believe it,I think RG3 can be a prima donna and his ego is out of control. So many reports coming out that he's lost the locker room, with Moss's comments and RG3's after the game, its not looking good. I wish RG3 would have been benched at halftime and the next game too.Sometimes a qb needs to sit on the bench a while and observe and maybe he would get his ego in check. And I dont believe that bs he said after the game, that he was trying to throw it out of the endzone. He was under pressure and threw it up for grabs and now he's trying to cover his ass. Also he said after the game no one was open on the play and he didnt have time, which is a subtle shot at his line and receivers.I havent seen the video, but I heard that Helu was open on the play. He needs to keep his mouth shut to the media and talk to the players to clear things up,thats what a leader would do.

Yeah Shannahan can pull another MCNabb move. When he benches RG3 that will destroy RG3. McNabb and Haynesworth were right. |

I don't think Shannahan would win the RG3 vs Shannahan battle when it comes to Dan Snyder.

We'll find out shortly after 5pm or so on Dec. 29th....I hope and pray you're right or we'll eventually lose RG3 and everything we invested to get him.

Who here thinks RG-3 was throwing the ball away? Just curious. For the record, I do not.

And also, he's not paying attention to what's going on around him. You gotta remember what down it is, bro. Gonna have to start doing the baseball system where they hand gesture to each other how many outs they currently have so players don't make boneheaded plays.

Re: Do You Unequivocally Believe RG3 Is Our Franchise QB?
It doesn't matter -- the mistake was RGIII's and his alone. If he thought it was 4th down and it was 3rd down and thus forced it, that's on him. If he just forced it even appreciating it was 3rd down, that is also on him. He says he was worried about taking a sack -- fair point, but then throw the ball away and make sure you get to 4th down. If it was a bad attempt at throwing it away, again, on him.
Having said all of this, RGIII was strong in the 4th quarter leading the team to two TDs and almost a third. That came after a pretty rotten 3 quarters beforehand. It is what we have seen this season -- some great stuff and some poor decisions and execution. But I think this is a reflection of coming back from injury, lack of talent around him, some bad coaching and playcalling, and -- yes -- some shaky play from RGIII too. |

Re: Do You Unequivocally Believe RG3 Is Our Franchise QB?
I am curious, for those who don't think RG3 is the franchise QB, do we spend the next few years waiting and hoping for the next franchise QB to come along in the draft or do people honestly think Cousins has the skill set to be a franchise QB? Personally I think Cousins is an Alex Smith or Matt Flynn game manager type QB. That generally doesn't get you to the promised land and I would rather spend time finding out if RG3 truly has what it takes than to spend time on someone who doesn't.
