Re: Let's talk about the front office situation
I look at it this way. This set up is better than having the coach have all the power. For the most part, that way hasn't really worked. I think we're fine. It seems Brown will run the pro personnel side and Campbell works college. Allen has the final say. It sounds like he's going to lean heavily on those two. Not sure why anyone has a issue with this set up. Allen has been the GM of two Super Bowl teams. I trust him.

So with that thought Jason Garrett should be a super bowl coach by now , right ?I mean he grew up with his dad a coach with a couple of teams and the Cowboys (scout)

Re: Let's talk about the front office situation
Garrett goes to the Super Bowl every year in preseason predictions. So there's that.

He grew up a Redskins fan. I like that. If he had one burgundy eye amd one gold eye, I'd like that, too. Also, I forgot to mention that he was the GM of two Super Bowl teams. Give me a break. I've got enough doomsayers who claim to be Redskins fans to deal with here. I don't need a Giants fan to pile on.

I got news for everyone. DAN SNYDER OWNS THE REDSKINS AND WILL FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE. Get on board with him or find another team. Otherwise you're going to be miserable.

Re: Let's talk about the front office situation
You are right...I am seriously considering the option of finding another team root for. I am in a transitional form.

Re: Let's talk about the front office situation
Guess I am too then. Maybe the Redskins died (and were only briefly resurrected) when Joe Gibbs left. One more "charlie foxtrot" drama of a Redskins HC , and I feel like just being an NFL aficionado, not a fan of any team. Rooting for the "Daniel Snyders" sucks.

You were actually a Redskins fan before? Never would have guessed...

Re: Let's talk about the front office situation
FRPLG, I was just having a bit of fun. Honestly, I have long ago accepted that Snyder is the man, and I really do hope he is learning from his mistakes, and that the people he is surrounding himself with will really be able to turn things around. That said, I am very much allowed to question and/or criticize his decisions. It won't do me any good, but I'm still allowed to. But I'll tell you, I wont waste my money on Redskins memorabilia or tickets and fuel the machine until I see that things are going better. That's the only way I can vote.

Re: Let's talk about the front office situation
I am simply tired of hearing people bitch and complain about the one thing that is almost certainly never going to change. Not only is it a waste of time but too many refuse to believe there has been any progress in his approach. They look at any failings of the organization and ascribe them directly to DS's past short-comings. The old saying is "you can make some people happy all the time and all people happy some of the time but never all people all the time" When it comes to DS the saying should be "You can make a few people happy some of the time and most people happy never ever no matter what because they are whiny grumps"

Re: Let's talk about the front office situation
Well, if they were winning consistently believe me, I would be (and I'm sure many others) kissing his @$$. When you are "the man" of any big organization you are going to be criticized. I am training to be a nursing home administrator, and everyone of the people I'm learning from will tell you, it is lonely at the top. Really, I have very little sympathy for him, he makes a ton of money, he is not a very good person in his private life, and his organization has done very poorly since he's taken ownership. I am not blaming him for everything, (and I get your point, some people do) but I don't think it makes anymore sense to say he should not receive any criticism.
