Re: Week 18
If no one to touches you before you hurt your knee in football, it's basically a guaranteed torn ACL.
Alabama had 2 guys that would have been 1st round picks as WRs and still could be, tear their ACL's. It's just crazy how ACLs tear so easily. 1 misstep, and boom, gone.

On the other, stats suggest that the injury level has been pretty steady for the last few years, and that's likely as a result of rule changes, the CBA (reducing player exposure to risk in team activities) and better treatments available. While it's mainly from player union pressure, the NFL does seem to be adapting to the need to keep players healthy. I'd suspect with more guaranteed salaries coming in that will improve. |

A good read on Andrew Whitworth - his success as a tackle is pretty amazing. |

Re: Week 18
The media was so dumb thinking Stafford would turn into Aaron Rodgers or something.. Honestly he's not that much better than Goff and they paid that much for him LMAO. What a disaster

Stafford was top 10 in just about every category that matters. He made everyone else on that team better just because he was there. For example: Cooper Kupp 2020 - 124 targets, 974 yards, 3 TD 2021 - 191 targets, 1947 yards, 16 TD Van Jefferson 2020 - 31 targets, 220 yards, 1 TD 2021 - 89 targets, 802 yards, 6 TD Robert Woods also on pace to surpass 2020 stats when he went on IR. I would have gladly taken Stafford - even for the price the Rams paid (two 1sts, a 3rd, and a QB). We probably couldn't get it done because we didn't have a QB that the Lions wanted (and he didn't want to come here...lol). |

Re: Week 18
Yep, Stafford is not TB12 or AR level, but he's not far off. Goff is a JAG by comparison. Stafford has and will continue to make dumb plays, but he also gives the Rams something they haven't had since Warner. Plus, after years in the wilderness in Detroit, you don't know how capable he will be in the latter stages of the playoffs. You know what Goff was.
I agree I'd have taken Stafford if the chance was there, and it's why I'd consider Ryan; both could bridge the gap until we find our guy in the draft. And arguably both better than anyone we've had since Theismann. |

Re: Week 18
He's better than Goff but is he all those picks and $$ better? That's what I was meaning by that. We'll see in the playoffs, remember Jared Goff helped take that team to a SB.
