Re: Merged: The Movies Thread

As much as I love Batman and can't wait for The Dark Knight Rises, I need May 4th to get here with the quickness. I lost my shit when I saw the smaller trailer during the game, especially the team shot, but this minute plus trailer even further amped me up:

i might see that in the theater. they couldn't afford norton but they bagged renner. all these heroes were before my time. i really like the iron mans with downey jr. but the hulks (bana's far worse than norton's) were bad. captain america wasn't any better. thor was worse. but i'm a sucker for superheroes, we'll see

Norton wasn't because of money but instead "creative differences" ie in an interview he tried to take primary credit for the writing on the movie and was a handful on the set. I really dug captain America cuz tht was one of the hardest super heroes to pull off and it worked for me. And I love the castin of Renner as Hawkeye and ruffalo is A great choice for banner/hulk

Re: Merged: The Movies Thread

if he was willing to put his creative differences aside for the hulk, he would have done the same for this fiesta. they couldn't afford downey jr and norton, downey jr was essential to this movie while norton was not. i can see creative differences being a problem in something like primal fear or american history x but not something like the avengers.

I saw the trailer to The Hunger Games, wow just lame it looks like a Sci Fi Channel original movie. Pretty good books that look like they are going to be awful on the big screen.

yes, another spiderman movie please... early takeaway is that this one probably isn't going to be very good.

I agree! IT is like $30 for me and the wife to go. With movies coming out so quick now and my home theater system what is the point of going to theater. I guess it is stil la good place to go if you are under 21 looking for a night out.

I honestly can't remember the last movie I saw in the theater. It might be Inception.
