You know. The guy who beat Andrew Luck from Oklahoma State. I took the h from "is" in your post and put in on Weeden.

Wheat Thins

Although Clairbourne? a shut down corner at 6 would be OK by me as well. Lots of WR receiver talent in the NFC East that needs to be locked down by a shut down corner and we can get one. But if not trade down and do last years draft again and pick up Wheeden.
Agreed. A very good CB AND WR could still be had if they traded back. 3 picks in the first 2 rounds could be WR, QB and CB, not necessarily in that order.

Granted I am a fan of Weeden, but the difference between him and RGIII is like the difference between Phillip Rivers and Jason Campbell.

The net effect of that extra WR and CB you pick up instead of trading up is not likely to exceed that of picking a game changer like Griffin. You would have to pick the next Andre Johnson and Darrell Revis to even start considering it an even trade off.

It's quantity over quality.

Also as I alluded to before Griffin is the very very very rare type of QB that can actually open running lanes for backs. To get the same effect of these running lanes you would have to add a pro bowl level tackle and guard.

People want to talk about RG3s 'injuries in the making' but, no one is questioning Tannehill's foot. He's "a scrambler" too. You know?

Funny I saw a scouting report that said the only thing people are holding against Weeden is his age otherwise he would easily be a 1st round pick because he can make all the throws and has the arm strength for the deep ball.

Re: The "Inside Word" on the QB Search

Personally RGIII kinda reminds me of JC. Yes RGIII's legs are better but my point is one of the knocks I had on JC is he would not go through all his reads if need be. He'd either try to run and get caught or throw it out of bounds and the latter was his norm at the end with us. RGIII's knock is he looks down his WR and rarely gets past the first read before he takes off running.

It's a clever trap EARTHQUAKE. Think about it, RGIII is getting all the news. Griffin, Griffin, Griffin whatever, you remember RGIII cause it's small, quick and catchy. Just like you remembered "Cool Whip" because it was funny and catchy. Most recent was "Wheat Thins" with the emphasis on the "H" in Wheat.

We are just trying to find a way to make Weeden's name catchy so you guys won't forget him and will have him on your mind over other 2nd tier QB's.

As they say.... if you can't dazzle them with brilliance then baffle them with BS.

I watched many RGIII games and this is not true

Provided I didn't watch more than a couple of games of RGIII, but I didn't see any of this.

Re: The "Inside Word" on the QB Search

I watched all of Baylor's games and didn't get that all. That's a terrible comparison.

He might be able to do those things and he might be a total bust. Nobody knows for sure.
