Re: Redskins Interested in TO

All of T.O's current troubles began when he criticized Donovan McNabb. Donovan may be a hell of a guy but I don't understand why he is beyond reproach. Anyone who dares to suggest that he might be wearing the Emperor's New Clothes is immediately cast down. IMO, the real villains here are the Eagles, Jeffrey Lurie, and Andy Reid. They could have paid T.O what he was worth and none of this would have happened. Instead they sided with McNabb and alienated their best player. This only two years after scapegoating James Thrash for McNabb's hideous play against the Panthers in the NFC Championship Game. How many careers are going to be sacrificed so that they can continue to pretend that their QB is more than average.

They get no sympathy from me. Let's see how far their beloved Donovan takes them next year. Better yet, let's see what poor sucker gets the blame when McNabb starts throwing airballs again (No doubt the lingering effects/affects of his groin injury). In the end, characters like T.O. come and go, but hatred for the Iggles lasts forever.

T.O. was offered a contract and signed it. Whether or not it matched his worth is beside the point. The Eagles did the right thing.

I don't think they were with Donavan as much as they were trying to protect the entire organization.

I think had T.O. played out this year in his usual form, they would have possiby entertained giving him a new deal - possibly. But the fallout, the war of words, just turned everyone sour toward him.

Whether he was the Eagles best player is debatable, IMO.

Exactly. That's the beginning and the end of that argument, as far as I am concerned.

So TO acting like a jackass is their fault? What about when he threw Jeff Garcia under the bus? Whose fault was that? Or what about how he engineered his trade to Philly and screwed Balt in the process. Whose fault is that? Look you may be able to say that other people reacted wrongly to the things TO was doing but the things TO was doing shouldn't be minimalized. His actions and words deserve no defense no matter how much you dislike the Eagles and the way they handle personell. Owens has been a constant problem for every team he has played for. He is simply a self centered juvenile jerk and the last thing any team needs is that. No matter how good he is the dissention he causes totally offsets what he brings to the field and that is TOs fault alone.

Re: Redskins Interested in TO

Some comments here on this thread are hard to read without a nap in the middle.

I finally voted in the Poll.

Apparently I voted correctly.

It is 75% No to TO. It is an impossible to highly improbable situation for him to come here based on TheWarpath.net poll survey.

How many hours is it to another TO thread starts?
