dont ever say that playing way off the guys on 3rd and 2 was scheme!!!! i am telling you from experience that there is no way in hell its scheme....and carlos rogers cant cover anyone esspecially a number 1 reciever. this guy is a draft bust but even if he does come around, he did not play good football last year and it was not scheme that determined how far off he was playing.....it was his coverage skills that determined that, he had no confidence and he cant cover period! no excuses for this donkey, if shawn springs does not play corner this year, you can count on people picking on rogers all day freaking long and smoot for that matter but smoot is better than rogers 100%.

Re: David Macklin our new CB
easy answer?
I don't see it that way, I think Saleve'a is on the bubble. Ditto for Evans & Wynn. Remember last year when Killings & Clemons (the DT, not his brother the LB who also got axed) got cut? players were surprised, but Golston & MOntgomery both made the team. When in doubt, they have to go w/youth & less $. On the other hand Gibbs loves his vets & loves Joe S. Still, he's not scared to cut a solid vet, I remember a few in the past that really surprised me, e.g. Alvin Walton. |
