Why all the complaining?

i cant speak for everyone, but ill take 10 more of these ugly wins. i really could care less about what it looks like, as long as the skins end up in the playoffs

I have no problem with complaints about the team, provided they are reasonable. Unfortunately, I have been seeing a lot of "the sky is falling," "the end is near," "4-2 is actually a losing record" posts lately that IMO aren't very reasonable.

I think it has a lot to do with most fans' preference for strong offenses versus strong defenses, even though most great teams have stronger defenses than offenses. If our offense was putting up 35 points people would be happy even if our defense was allowing 30 points. The fact is, however, that a football team is made up of two units. If our crystal ball back in August said we were going to start the season 4-2 I don't think there would be one single complaint. Well, we're 4-2 so what's the problem? Even with a severely depleted OL and a young QB we've managed to win 4 of 6. Yet all some people can focus on is this retarded play calling debate, like calling more shotguns is the answer to our woes. Gimme a break.

Seriously 364 total yards for the Cards to 160 total yards for the Skins...

Once again, thrilled that we were able to hang on some how and get to 4-2, but not happy with what I've seen on the offensive side of the ball...injuries or not.

Hell yeah I'm happy with "mediocrity" if it means we stay on this current pace of winning 4 of every 6 games.

I will withhold any further comment until after the Patriots game. Let's just see how far this defense can carry the team. I'm betting we will get a good idea this weekend. You can't keep winning with defense. At some point you have to put points on the board with your offense...especially against teams such as the Patriots and Cowboys.

During Gibbs presser yesterday, he pretty much validated what we've been complaining about since Sunday night - his overly conservative game plan nearly lost the game. But for Neil Rackers missing his long FG by a foot, we would be looking at 3-3, going to NE, with 4 of the next 5 games on the road. It's time for Gibbs to stop coaching scared and trusting Campbell to make plays.

We are 4-2, and our two losses we gave away. We have one of the most consistent defenses in the league. Not devestating like 04, but better in a lot of ways because of decreased vulnerability to the big play (remember the Denver game in 05, for example, or pretty much all of last year?) We appear to have our first true franchise qb since the 1980's. We have a patchwork line that is only going to get better. We play in the NFC.

Let's try and cheer up folks huh? You guys complain when we outplay our opponent and lose, ok, but then shouldn't you be thrilled when we don't show up and still win? Or did you guys think we would go 19-0 and win the superbowl and beat everybody by 40 points?
