Re: Coaching Rumor on SportsTalk 980
I sure hope this is not true.
Someone said they thought Gibbs was rubbing off on Snyder.... First thing he does is promote Cerrato....what a joke....now he's gunna blow up the coaching staff on the best playoff team he's had? This is not a young team...look at the O-line and some geezers on D. We have little cap ability to get more experienced talent. And now, our team will have to relearn an entirely new offense and defense? Hell....I'd rather see SAUNDERS as head coach than to blow it up for FASSEL. and to give up drafts for an offensive coordinator when we have a solid one entering year 3 when it usually blossoms? Man....I HATE snyder....I really HATE this guy....but I hate the cowboys more. Hopefully an asteroid will hit him before he makes any more crappy decisions.

Re: Coaching Rumor on SportsTalk 980
none of you have a clue what was said in those interviews snyder has done. none of you know if williams made an ass of himself... none of know that snyder could have talked to gibbs about what was said in those interviews to make snyder want fassel. none of you know anything... snyder definitely asked grilliams many questions and just maybe, just maybe williams tanked. just maybe snyder talked to ralph wilson about how williams as a head coach made decisions in all aspects of the game and the outcome was bad. so, lets quit assuming you know what is best for this football team... shall we?

Re: Coaching Rumor on SportsTalk 980
This is like saying we can't have opinions about the outcome of Skins games because we weren't in the team meetings where they coordinated the game plan.

not really because at the outcome of a game we know who the winner is, so we can debate on what should have been done to change the outcome. we don't yet know the outcome of this particular subject.

Okay, excuse me, it's like saying we can't analyze the game in PROGRESS for the same reason.

Re: Coaching Rumor on SportsTalk 980
I am by no means a Fassell supporter but lets at least give the guy a chance. If Snyder is willing to then I am going to. If they bring the OC from Seattle maybe that will spell good things for JC I mean they have a pretty decent passing game out there. I feel uneasy about the coaching decision as the rest of you but Im going to at least give him a chance.

Re: Coaching Rumor on SportsTalk 980
I'm one of those guys freaking out.
If I may be so bold as to state. I think Danny is an idiot even if this is not true and he hires G Williams. Because of how he's handled the situation combined with the promotion of CERRATO. Most have agreed that we needed a GM....a qualified one....this makes that impossible. This, combined with a complete reshuffling of the coaching staff (or even a percieved one) points to one thing..... DANNY is an idoit......but hopefully.....one day.....we will win in spite of him.

Re: Coaching Rumor on SportsTalk 980
My issue with the potential Fassel, Ryan, Zorn team is not with these men or their coaching acumen. They are talented guys and will work hard to try and produce a winner.
The most disappointing aspect has to do with the utter disregard for loyalty within the organization. MAYBE this would be justified if the new coaching staff were remarkable better than those already here, but I just don't see that being the case. Kind of reminds me about the thread a few months back were SmootSmack went off on a tangent about men cheating on their wives. While this is not nearly as morally egregious, it has a similar connotation. GW was brought in with some at least implied "benefit of the doubt" promises, has done nothing but win the love and respect of the players/ coaches/ fans, then gets shafted in favor of an outsider without a hall of fame type resume. Sorry, but it just smells. |
