Crap, here's what happened the last time Vick faced a Shanahan coached team.
NFL Game Center: Atlanta Falcons at Denver Broncos - 2004 Week 8

I know the irony of the narrators statements won't be lost on you guys. Remember this was 2004 when Vick was at his absolute peak. Opening line: "After being beaten like a mutt last week the Atlanta Falcons came into Denver...." And yes to make matters worse a pitbull is shown in this part of the video.

He was the top rusher.
Alge Crumpler was the top receiver.
Peerless Price was the second-top receiver.
Fat T.J Duckett was the runner up.

Compare that with
DeSean Jackson
Jeremy Maclin
LeSean McCoy

It's going to be a long day. St. Louis spared us some embarassment because their deep threat (Avery) was injured. Philly won't.

I dont even want to watch this game. Our defense is garbage, we have a piss-poor offense, horrible running game, we are a last in the league team right now. The eagles will beat us as bad as the patriots did in 2007

It just looks like Vick is becoming the passer that he has the ability to be. He's got the tools, he just needed to right coaching and the right attitude, and he needed to learn how to be a pro. That means doing all the little things, film study, working on his mechanics and so forth. I think he's doing all those things now it shows. I think being around McNabb for a year also helped.

Now that he has his dog fighting out of the way maybe he has more time to work on those.

I love everybody on this site but can we please give the "Michael Vick dog fighting" thing a rest??

The fact is, the man has paid his time for the crime he committed.

I don't hear you guys complaining about all the players that have DUI, or domestic violence, or even players who have killed human beings as a result of their actions...

Give it a rest....

1st time I've replied in this thread...

Personally,I like the Campbell bashing thread much better.

I have 4 dogs,so it's best for me not to give my opinion on a dog-killer.

Like it or not Vick is going to be forever tied to dog fighting no matter what happens.

Re: Andy Reid names Michael Vick as team's starting quarterback

But why do people give animals more rights than humans?

You dont hear anybody crying about Ray Lewis or Donte Stallworth, who killed human beings, or even Pac Man Jones, who twice was involved in a shooting.

Dog Fighting is inhumane and horrible, but nobody was lobbying for those other players to get lifetime bans...

Vick's on pace to have exactly 4000 yards by the end of the season. He's averaging 250yds a game.

Definitely won't last. He was never a good passer.

He'll get <250 this week.

Re: Andy Reid names Michael Vick as team's starting quarterback

From most of the highlights I've seen Vick has had plenty of time. Of course he can buy time if there's no one open.

How Haslett calls this game will be just as or more intriguing than McNabb's return to philly. I think Haslett will be on his game. After 3 games he's seen what this defense can and can't do. I look for him to drop more in coverage & run some delayed blitzes.

We'll get burnt at least once by Vick - Jackson, but I have a feeling the D will have an otherwise big game.
