I seriously hope they can do something like this, and I wouldn't be upset if Shanny was still here to do it. I can't believe the number of people that are saying Shanny won't be here next year. I would be shocked if he wasn't.
Agreed. There are still some decent vets that we need to retain, but an overhaul is way long overdue. Just gonna be challenging given the lack of draft picks due to poor mgt./coaching decisions.

I don't think Shanahan is going anywhere, unless we are really determined to keep spinning our wheels, another HC change isn't going to help and will only compound our problems.

If we cut ties with the Shanahan's at the end of the season, all we've lost is a season and some Snyderbucks. And Vinny Cerrato.

If we continue with this charade, well, then we'll need to start a damage report. I can get on that, if you wish.

Also, I think the offense will look better on Sunday, but there will be plenty of WTFs as Grossman throws a few picks. We will get a touchdown though.

We are acting like Donovan won 3 Super Bowls for us. We are benching the QB on a 5-8 team. People are assuming Shanny is done in DC, the team will revolt...it's all nonsense. Shanny is in year 1 of a rebuild. The only legitimate thing on the table today is that maybe McNabb is not coming back next year and we made a bad trade. The rest of this sky is falling stuff is the typical over reaction that happens here in Redskins world.

The reaction is due to the fact we wasted a 2nd and 3rd round pick!!!! I am on board with MS....but this has not looked different than the past 10 years in terms of personel moves. The did give him an extention that was built in our favor but we still gave up picks that could have provided youth on this team............and come on .......REX GROSSMAN??????? Im going to the game on sunday and im really upset this is what i paid for

I have one question -

If McNabb "played himself out of a position" then how the [BLEEP] is Casey Rabach still starting?

The only answer I can think of is that they don't like their options behind Rabach? I think we're stuck with him until the end of the season. The bigger question will be whether they do anything with him in the offseason. If they don't deem replacing him a high enough priority we might see a revolt against the Skins before next season lol.

You will refer to him only as "team captain Casey Rabach." Anything else is just disrespectful.

Hey, we should post a pic of him in that derailed captains thread.

Re: Report: Grossman Starting on Sunday

I remember back to asking the question,"Why trade for McNabb if you know you are rebuilding?" And I guess this answers the question in the sense that Shanny agrees with me in that it was the wrong move if we are truly "rebuilding." I will agree that this is probably just the Shannies admitting it was a mistake and moving on. I doubt McNabb plays another down for the Redskins, but it is better to admit it was a mistake and move on rather than the alternative.

Good luck to McNabb and I do hope wherever he goes that he finds success as long as it isn't against the Redskins. I do feel he deserved to be treated better than this but this is just part of the business that is the NFL.

i agree with everything but the last line. i would say we are one of the few teams that can do this to a future hof-er. the gross mismanagment of this teams personel has got to be the worst in the nfl. and i'm not talking about this year alone, hands down we have to have one of the worst track records in the past decade in player turnover.

smootsmack eluded to it earlier, mcnabb is injured and most likely shanahan is done with mcnabb and wants to move on. if the two parties had any respect for each other this would have been handled very differently, but hey thats just my opinion

Who would have thought the Haynesworth story would not have been the biggest story coming out of Redskins park at season's end.
