I guess so, making a splash has obviously ruined the past decade and future years but I hope they acknowledge we need to rebuild and get good building blocks and foundation to set us up for the following season when we can hope to have a real team and gravitate toward a playoff push.

No more gimmicks or temporary solutions please build us a team that plays football.

There are definitely plenty of tempting really expensive bordering on over priced FA available this off season.
A team could pull a Snyder era 2000-2005 or a 2009 Chicago Bears and quickly turn around your team. But at great price and risk.

Not that I want this, but i can dream about it ....but could you imagine a redskins off season pick up of Logan Mankins, Vincent Jackson, Haloti Ngata and Rickard Seymour? We would be instantly better.
I know it would not be wise, but one can dream.
We have to hit a good draft this year. A must.

If healthy Rice would be a nice piece. It's not worth a single pick though...maybe a 7th I guess. Remember how much more effective Favre was when he had Rice to throw to.

Rice is easily going to command more that a 7th rounder and for good reason.

Whenever we made trades, the players were old or not established. Rice is only 24, which is very young, and he's easily established himself as good receiver. Even TJax looked good at times when throwing to Rice.

Rice would help but not for any draft picks

I'd easily take a 4th rounder for Rice. He's going to be 25 next year and the Vikes sorely missed him more than anything else on offense this year.

Just draft Blackmon or Jones in the first, plus Rice has had injury problems for a while

Think they'd want McNabb or Haynesworth?

Think they'd take 'em? I'd happily send DM there. I'm still a naive optimist who thinks everyone involved will get their head out of their ass and make Haynesworth fit here.

Probably Haynesworth if one of the Williamses retires (I forgot which one is getting up there in age).

Do not forget that Rice was coming off an injury!!!! Do not remember what it was. Would be a good pu if it was a 7th.

Excellent bargaining chip for grabbing him, but I think he's just fine now. He showed he was still a playmaker in the limited time he did play .

Nnamdi Asomugha is a free agent this year. Anybody want him? I think signing Rogers would be cheaper but Asomugha is probably a top 2 corner in this league with Revis. We could have Asomugha Island in the secondary next year.
