Re: 2011 Senior Bowl Week
I hope the majority who said QB didn't do so with Locker on their mind. Why? Because seriously ... there is 9 teams ahead of the Skins who; will be, could be, or might be looking for a QB and if Locker is the top QB as every media pundit is trying to do with him right now .... he most likely will be gone by #10.

Re: 2011 Senior Bowl Week
I hope all of the QBs are taken before #10 so Von Miller will still be there...

@skinzwin
I doubt Dalton will be there in the 2nd, I've heard he's impressing a lot of scouts so far. Also saw ponder was hurt? And Titus young was compared to desean Jackson now that's saying something

Re: 2011 Senior Bowl Week
Oh I know it won't happen but there are a few teams that need a QB ahead of us. Its just my personal opinion I'd rather not take a risk on one of this year's QBs at #10, so if all the QBs that are worth being taken in the first round are gone it'll take the decision out of it and hopefully someone like Von Miller would be a no brainer decision.

Re: 2011 Senior Bowl Week
That scouting report on Cam Newton has one terribly bogus projection.
4.64 forty? No fing way. That guy is fast as ****. He makes SEC safties and cb's look like pylons. |

Maybe he should change positions and become that fast FB we need. LOL Too much of a project folks. He's working with a QB coach so he must know he has some glaring inadequacies. He will be thinking too much out there and get buried. Stay away from the better than "Tim Tebow". |

Not saying you specifically, but I think many of us get caught up in 40 times & think that 4.3 is exponentially faster than 4.6. Sure it's considerably faster, but we're still talking tenths of a second. An elusive 4.6 offensive player can make up that difference & then some w/one quick move to get a defender behind him. A qb that runs as fast as 4.6 is still pretty rare in the nfl. |

Jake Locker is even faster than Newton, but I still think Newton is getting below 4.5 although he has such long strides his timed speed might not be as good as the tape. |

They say you can't teach speed, which is true essentially, but you can teach sprinting technique. Guys can improve by a tenth or so in the 40 simply by working on their stance & first step out of the blocks & correcting flaws in form. i.e. to some degree, I believe the 40 test becomes a "teaching the test" excercise. Generally, long strides are not conducive to sprinting. The longer the stride, the quicker the turnover has to be. Sprinters win w/short, quick strides. |

Re: 2011 Senior Bowl Week
Is it just me or is Locker looking more and more like he's going to be our guy?
