Re: Shaun Rogers and Redskins Talking
Yeah, I really don't see the harm in signing the guy to a low risk, short term contract. It would be one thing if we were giving up draft picks for him, but if it's an incentive laden deal, no harm no foul.

Re: Shaun Rogers and Redskins Talking
If you sign Rodgers then you can't sign it makes its harder and much less likely that we'll sign the younger NT/DE Paul Soliai.

But just because they pick this guy up doesn't mean they won't draft your boy. Daniels is probably gone, Kemo is done, AH is probably traded or cut. So I'd imagine the team might just be looking at filling spots. |

He's younger and more productive then Rogers and he's doesn't have Albert Haynesworth attitude issues: Quote:
And if NT isn't a priority for the team/FO they need to have their heads examined. (Obviously it is b/c they're looking at Rogers) |

Re: Shaun Rogers and Redskins Talking
No I stand corrected. I figured Soliai was just another draftee. I didn't say NT wasn't a top priority I said the team may feel there are other spots that they feel are more important. As I also said we might be losing a few people on the DL so why is it a big deal that the team does due diligence on a player who has no ties holding him from getting signed?
I'd take Soliai if possible as well. |

I don't know much about Soliai, but for a team that needs a good NT, he sounds like a good option for us.

No! We need someone that will support local restaurants when Haynesworth leaves DC!

[quote/ "I think if he went to a good team, things might change. I don't know." That say's to me, this is not the place he would want to come.

Re: Shaun Rogers and Redskins Talking
I think DL is one of those where you can get listed as multiple positions:
Pro Football Reference has him as a DT Haloti Ngata NFL & AFL Football Statistics - Pro-Football-Reference.com But if you look at his years chart: 2006 22 BAL RDT 2007 23 BAL RDE 2008 24 BAL NT 2009 25 BAL LDE 2010 26 BAL LDE Pretty much can play anywhere I would say. |

Re: Shaun Rogers and Redskins Talking
Gibbs always talked about wanting characters with character, now the skins get characters with no character.
