Mike Shanahan won 2 super bowls, yes. Those 2 super bowls with a STUD qb like Elway. After Elway, he ran the Broncos organization in the ground. Not so bad the first 2 or 3 years after Elway, but then they REALLY started to go downhill. I lived in Colorado Springs at the time. I heard the talk radio around there. Noone thought Shanahan deserved the job after 2004. He completely screwed that defense. He has shown nothing but the same tendencies here, and I just hope that our stud QB can do everything in his power to get us to a superbowl in spite of a HC and OC that prefers to have him run a dozen designed runs a game against linebackers that eat glass for breakfast. I really hope his plan is better than that, cause Griffin is the ONLY reason we were even competitive in any of the games this year. I doubt anyone will attribute any of our success to any schemes or gameplan. I just hope the young fella stays healthy.
Word to this, among my family in Denver Shanahan is practically a four letter word. Elway on the other hand is still seen as THE MAN.

Could you ask your family in Denver what they think of Dan Reeves? The guy that couldnt win with Elway yet seems to be considered a good coach by most people, including what Denver fans I have talked to.

Yet VY never had a season like Cam did last year. I won't write old Cam off yet.

^ remember hearing a top scout speak last year before the draft who sat in during a Cam interview during the combine and said his he just couldnt spend a top 5 pick on him. He said his concern was 0% physical or skill-wise but 100% mental. He had multiple red flags.

I thought after last season i thought, wow dude must have been wrong. Now Im starting to see exactly what he was refering too.

That was Mike Mayock that killed him in his review. It tells me a lot about a person when they are getting their asses handed to them, and the guy still wants to show off (doing the Superman shit) after scoring a TD. I'm like, hey superman, you aren't too super because you are getting your ass handed to you.

He had a "pro-bowl" type of season and ended up in the pro-bowl just like Cam. Him having a fantastic year doesn't mean jack shit really. Having fantastic years of play is another story. Their offense they ran last year was more designed to suit his strengths, but now the real test is going to begin. After teams have tape and a full year of watching him, they'll be able to game plan for him much better. (as noted in the games this year)

I said from the get go with him that his first year wouldn't mean jack (good or bad), but it would be his second and third year as to how he'll do in the long run. I believe that with mostly any QB to be honest with you. (RGIII as well)

Remind me again why did they signed him to a 100 million contract?

They are giving up 10 less points per game though.

Skins- giving up 34 points per game

Browns - giving up 24.5 point per game

Browns have a better defense. Giving up yards really doesn't mean squat unless your opponent is punching it in the end zone.
I think they gave vick that contract based solely on what he did to us a couple years ago. So take that eagles! Lol.

Thats my point m8. Some people say he made a mistake coming back. But he had a break in service, and still came back and took a rag tag team to the playoffs. Shanny hasn't been to the playoffs, in what, 9 years???????

Re: Around the NFL...Week 4 Style

I think it's a bit unfair to assume Elway, Yoing, Plummer, Griese, Cutler, etc had success in spite of Shanahan. And it's too early to write off the young OL talent we just drafted this year. And how much better do you expect TW to be than when he was drafted? He wasn't exactly drafted as a developmental prospect. And are we just going to overlook all the Browns flaws? And why are we even talking about the Redkins vs Browns yet anyway?

Re: Around the NFL...Week 4 Style

And people have to stop acting like all RG3 has done and all he will do is run. And stop putting the blame in Mike and Kyle when the offense is struggling yet not give them an iota of credit when the offense is successful. And don't botch about our coaches not playing to their players' strengths and then whine when they do.
