Good riddance. His public belly aching couldn't continue, and it wouldn't have been allowed on any other NFL squad.

This is a move that I am proud of Jay for making. I think it was a long time coming.
He is a pro bowl player. Just another stupid move. Should have been put on the inactive list, with conduct detrimental to the team. And let the new coach and GM decide what to do with him. Unless, they fire the coach and GM and get me a new quarterback, I am done with the Redskins. They have disgraced themselves and made a fool of me enough. Lets cut DJ not accepting being a loser and let take all the gutless women beaters, that other teams don't want, come here. Why haven't these idiots signed Kareem hunt yet? Oh yeah, add Doug Williams to the top of the list.

Re: D.J. Swearinger released

This is all about perception...... yes BA, JG and GM need to be gone, I don't see many disagreeing with that sentiment, but if you fire a coordinator (let alone the HC or GM) after a player complains openly about the schemes they are running then the perception among the players and outsiders is that the owner lets the players decide what schemes to run and which coaches get hired/fired..... what coach /GM candidate in his right mind would want to come with in a million miles of here under those circumstances, if they did they would be compelled as their first act to get rid of anybody airing team issues in public to set the standard...... there is no doubt that DJ is one of the top 5 talents on our defence, but he is just too stupid(as are the front office) to realise there is only one game left and to deal with it in the off season...... just get rid of the lot of them

They aren't going to be serious contenders anytime soon so they are going to have to tear it down before they can move forward and build a well structured perennial contender

Exactly! Don’t let this joke of a coaching staff and front office make decisions on the good talent we have! Let the future staff decide!

What would you do when he criticized the next coach in the media?

That depends on a lot of things. What does the next coaching staff play calling look like? What’s our success and win/loss? Are other starters complaining of the SAME things? Do they have a good reputation for making GOOD FOOTBALL decisions. This staff fails on all those

DJ (along with 4-5 other starters) have voiced their concerns over the SAME things. DJ is speaking honestly to the lazy ass practices, joking, and incompetence of our coaching staff.

Cutting him solves nothing and is like a regime killing protesters to keep dissent quiet. Just helps the coaching staff cover up the BS a little more

Re: D.J. Swearinger released

Let’s put it this way. If it was Andy Reid, Bill Bellechek, McVay, Sean Payton, or someone like that I would support the move. They’ve proven to make GOOD FOOTBALL decisions and have a proven track record.

Allen, Gruden and Manusky couldn’t run a pop Warner football team

Re: D.J. Swearinger released

So then if he is right about the next coaching staff you fire them too?

What if 4 or 5 starters hate the next coaching staff and their right for doing so but the other 6 or 7 like the next coaching staff?

No, you’re taking my position and the same position as most others on this out of context.

Your statement is a bit hypocritical.

McVay didn't have a track record until ownership took a chance on him and said we are doing it his way.

You only want retreads?

You get my point. Those coaches have proven reputations. Our coaches and Bruce Allen’s reputations are trash, and DJ was speaking up against the trash. He’s completely right.

If he was on any of the team’s coached by the people I mentioned I’d disagree with him because their records, winning ways and reputations speak otherwise

DJ plays with heart, and works extremely hard. He’s one of the best safeties in the NFL. No one disputes that.

What is Bruce Allen, Jay Gruden or Greg Manusky in this league? What have they done expect nothing?

DJ said he watches more film than the coaching staff. I’d believe that AND THATS THE PROBLEM.

Let’s cut a guy who probably prepares HARDER than the shit staff we have

Your hate isn’t letting you be objective. No team is going to tolerate a player who keeps blasting coaches in the media. He was warned repeatedly to stop. Enough was enough.

He’s worn out his welcome with 4 teams now. If that doesn’t say something to you nothing will.
