If Howell gets hurt, might as well tank the season anyways and/or see if Fromm is magically some rabbit out of a hat.

Re: Around the League Week 1
One of my work buddies is a Jets fan. Since the Commanders are the NFC version of the Jets we commiserate a lot.

Re: Around the League Week 1
Watching last night, I couldn't help feeling the Jets created the situation by not building a solid OL. AR was under pressure from the start, and Wilson often running from it. They spent all that money on AR and can't keep him upright?
That's a worrying parallel with us. We're going to face a lot of good pass rush teams this season, including those same Bills. If they aren't looking for FA and trade upgrades hard, we could be in the same boat as the Jets. |

Versus going from AR to Wilson is falling out of a jet plane in flight the stakes are entirely different All this season is is an opportunity for the Harris group to see what they have ; they have plenty of scape goats to lay blame on for a shit season. this season we should hope for a playoff caliber team or a total bust. the worst that could happen is the team performs average or just below and Harris and company really don't know what they have; this holds true for SH as well. If SH comes out and has an average year and your on the fence whatever to build on him or cut bait; it puts the franchise in a tough spot. If we were not holding out hope on Haskins the year we drafted CY, at #2 we probably had been looking at some great QBs, sigh.

SH holds the ball way too long. By the end of this season either through injury or incompetent play; JB will get his shot. I hope SH does well too but man I just don't see it yet.

Re: Around the League Week 1
Give him to the bye week to see what he has. He'll get there. Just needs more starts.

JB has had plenty of shots. He isn’t good. Not as a starter. Sam would definitely have to get hurt for him to get another shot. With this oline that is entirely possible. |

He had really good lines in Green Bay. Not here. Bechton is a bust.

Re: Around the League Week 1
I really think every one on this board should be required to liste to Keim before making any outlandish remarks (and that's me included).
On a serious note, it is good to see that a lot of the issues with both Sam and the offensive line are fixable. For the o-line, it is having more experience working together, and for Sam it is fixing those little mistake and not repeat them (as you punch said, all coachable).
