Mistake by NFL films
I was just watching the 2005 season review by NFL films, and I was flabbergasted by a greivous error...
Near the end of the program, after The Redskins beat the Bucs in the playoffs, the announcer says, "The Redskins win six in a row, and their first in the playoffs since 1992." I'm assuming I didn't hallucinate, but I distinctly remember being in the endzone after the 1999 season watching the Skins destroy the Lions 27-14 in the playoffs. Then we should have defeated the Bucs on B Mitch's TD return... Kind of destroys your faith in NFL films... On a secondary note, Brandon Lloyd's catch near the end of the show was SICK!!!! |

Re: Mistake by NFL films
Yeah I picked up on that too. You're probably right TAFKAS, they probably meant Gibbs' first one since '92.

Re: Mistake by NFL films
Maybe NFL Films, like many of us, want to just believe those 12 years without Gibbs never existed

Re: Mistake by NFL films
This has definately been mentioned before. NFL Films stopped by my house and apologized, expect them shortly.

Re: Mistake by NFL films
Wasn't it Larry Michale who made the mistake? I'm not entirely sure but I'm pretty positive there was an instance where they used a radio bite where Michale says something in accurate.
